My October Symphony

We have (almost) made it to the end of October.  My how time flies.

Work-wise, it has been a busy month.  Busier on the social level too, but it has mostly been work that has kept me occupied.

November will be busier.  I'm ok with that.  It beats the alternative.

But here it is, the end of October and not one leaf has been picked up by either 710 or myself.   I think that must change this weekend.

The plan was to outsource this task. I hate raking leaves.  There is momentary satisfaction in it for me, as when three more leaves fall after the clean, I become agitated.  No........it's true.  I know you're shocked.

I'm home about 10 days this month and the last thing I want to do is spend two of them picking up leaves.  But I'm sure I will today and / or tomorrow.  If it is dry enough, maybe I'll just use the lawn mower to mulch them.

The sad thing is, only about 50% of the leaves have fallen, which mean, as many as we currently have, we will have to do this again.  Unless we get help.  ...and I'm ok throwing a little money at it to make it go away.  If anyone at OWS with a degree in Ceramics wants to do some yard work, I've got a job for them.

On a totally unrelated note, I am trying for a new little video project, which I won't go into now, as it might not work out.  I'm only partially pleased with the results of what I'm doing.  And even in the best case scenario, we are a month away from it being completed.  I know, it's a tease, but saying it out loud makes me try to commit to the bit a little more.  However, there is only a chance you've read this far to see that I'm doing it and less of a chance you'll remember it later on.......so I'm covered.

I'll remind you. :)

I love the fall leaves ON the trees. In the yard, not so much. We mulch.

Why not just leave the leaves on the ground? Aren't they nature's blanket for winter?

And like Birdie, I'll remind you of the video project....
