Cold

I'm calling 'bullshit' on the weather.

But then, I usually do. I'm also the cranky old man that tells you to get off my lawn.

My cousin texted me the other day suggesting with Andy Rooney's retirement that there is an opening for 'the grumpiest guy on TV.  Tenure possible'.

CBS can't afford me.

But after workout yesterday, I could not get warm.  This is not a new thing for me, but normally it does wait until November or December to kick in.  That this was September, albeit the last day of, does not bode well for the next six months......or for me.

That we had to get a fire going and turn on the heat (in September!!!) really quite depressed me.  It would have been great for snowy day, but it wasn't.

Ruckiry (not Jon's boss),  we had soup and leftovers for dinner.  But Denton made nice quesadillas with some shredded cheese, onions, leftover steak and some of the flatbread we didn't use for the hummus I made on Sunday.

A nice warm winter-time meal.  And with the food and the fire, I finally got warmed up.  Still, I'm not happy about the upcoming winter months.  I really need for us to relocate.

You can take the heat we got here. It's in the 80's, around 20 degrees to hot for the season here. I want my rainy, cold Breton fall back!

you are welcome here, where we are sick and tired of the heat. It remains over 100 and the AC still goes nonstop. Next week we may see some 70s.

Wow, kind of funny, I got distracted by the quesadilla picture (it looks really good!) and only read the second half of your entry. Then after posting I read the first half about your cousin.

So, Mr. Crankypants, I guess we're all on the same page!

I have a serious dislike of the cold. And the dislike gets greater the older I get.
