Ad of the Month

Ok - technically the ad is like 50 years old.  I do not remember it, but some of the readers older than myself (if there is such a thing!), might have seen it in the past.

Full disclosure:  My mother put Dippity-Do on an almost daily basis when I was a wee lad.

I believe I used it in the 80s as well, when I somewhat still had hair and still felt it "needed" product. What it did was accentuate my thinning hair where you could see scalp.

Of course we never had that particular ad, though there were our equivalents, very much a product of the time - a time when, incidentally, all faces in ads were uniformly white, NO exceptions!

And that little boy - aw, how sweet! (I know, I know). But I do detect just a hint of mischief behind those oh-so-innocent eyes. :-)

I remember that, from the 60's (I know I am older than dirt.)

I remember this ad. I was 10 in '66. My mother told me that we (Blacks) didn't need that stuff. Too drying.
