Ad of the Month

Yes, today is Super Bowl LIV.

DCCX pointed out that save Star Wars movies, no one but the Super Bowl uses Roman numerals.

As you might have guessed, I'm no fan of the game / the spectacle. JLo(w) isn't helping matters, though she rarely does. Maybe she'll do a grudge pole dance to protest her exclusion at, well, ANY awards show this last season.  THAT'LL show 'em!

It used to be ok to watch the game for the ads, but then the internet made that unnecessary. And a few years back, the internet truly made it less of a reason to watch, as the ads started populating before game.

This works well in 2020. Yeah, I'll miss Bloomberg's ad (though I think you can view it now), but I'm also missing BLOTUS'. Natch, he had to try to one-up Bloombertg's purchase, which I have to feel is exactly what Bloomy wants - for the clown to rant, rave and spend his much lesser money. I will miss it all.

That said, my favourite ad still might be from 2011, which I posted here.

But the new Hyundai Sonata ad with Bostoners (I'm sure that's a word!) Chris Evans, Rachel Dratch and John Krasinski is a hoot. Well......hoot-ish.

Oddly, I think I find myself laughing at Evans more than the rest, but they're all pretty good. .....the quick shot of the dog is cute too.  It's also my opinion that Krasinski should never be without a beard.
