As it turns out, I did work from home today, albeit, as little as possible. Mostly emails and a conference call or two. But on the other hand, I did not nap either.
As such, I am tarred.
I don't think I can stay up for Game 2. I'm not sure I want to. It's not looking good for Cleveland as of yet - and it's already the 6th inning as I pen this.
I really have nothing.
But for Game 1 - and maybe they do this all the time now - at the 7th Inning Stretch, they sang "G-d Bless America". Then they followed up with "Take Me Out to the Ball Game".....as is the song that is usually the standard.
For some light-heartedness, why not show you the Parks & Recreation version - as sung by Chris Traeger.
It's spot-on

IMHO, ditch the faux patriotism and leave "take me out to the ball game". it's a BASEBALL GAME, not a july 4th event! fucking GOP!
God bless America is traditional (here in San Diego) on Sunday games before Take me out to the Ballgame.
