Plush

When a movie is slated for release that I really want to see, secretly, deep inside, I recite a mantra: "please don't suck.....please don't suck.....please don't suck...."

It would kill me to have a bomb of a movie from Christopher Guest.

I'm one of the few who saw his debut - the Big Picture (a fair to middling film) - starring that six degrees guy, Kevin Bacon.  (and that is two Bacon references in two days....so is it two degree of separation?)

Guest really has done well with his oeuvre, not a bad one in the bunch.

So in a way, that says a lot for the new Mascots - which is on Netflix in a month. But on the other hand - in the back of my head - I think 'law of averages'.

A movie about mascots....because I suppose one about Plushies is a no-no.

As it is, most of the Guest regulars are there, save maybe Michael McKean, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara and Larry Miller.

And yay....Parker Posey is.

Please don't suck.

I hadn't heard about this one. Being another C. Guest fan, I'd be most interested in viewing it sometime.

I'm a big Guest fan too and am seriously considering signing up for a month's membership of Netflix just to see this film!
