So I get that today is World AIDS Day. And traditionally on this day I've had some thoughtful, if not a somewhat serious posts. I've also done a few ones that were much more light-hearted.
....and then there is this one. "Third Date" takes AIDS humour to a slightly different level. ...and you don't hit the "up" button for this level.
I love Amy Schumer. When she's hitting all the targets she's hilarious. There are times when there are misfires (mostly in scripted routines. her stand-up is pretty good most the time - though the exact same routine she did on Ellen was funnier than when she did on her HBO Apollo special last month), but the ones that work make the lesser ones tolerable.
This "Third Date" skit is uncomfortable and wrong on multiple levels. And funny. The ending is priceless....and it's exactly the way I feel.
Try to watch the skit and get past the annoying subtitles - if they actually show. Comedy Central does this a lot. I don't know what they're thinking. If they appear, just hit the 'cc' box in the lower part of the video screen.
best line: "my dad has psoriasis.....so....I get it".

Love it every time I see it.
It plays almost like a PSA until the funny/awkward kicks in.
I've had a few too many of those conversations in my life.
I always light a candle on Dec 1 and think, what if.
