Day 4 of my FB album selection was Kate Bush's Hounds of Love.
As you've heard here ad nauseum, it was my co-first CD. To be honest, that was mostly based on "Running Up That Hill"which I featured a long time ago.
But the disk is very moving - and not all in a great way. Today's selection is "Under Ice", a song that is hauntingly creepy. One that actually evokes angst within me - even 33 years later.
It's less than two and one-half minutes. You should listen. Really listen.

Oh crikey! This IS disturbing, isn't it? (Both song and video)
Although I didn't know this one I've been a fairly warm Kate Bush fan since she first appeared, though falling short of being a true 'worshipper.
One of my less fortunate memories of my mother (died 2005) was when, in one of my final visits to her, 'Wuthering Heights' came on the radio, and she told me to switch it off. "I can't stand that woman!' was her untypical reaction. Sad, but it's just one of those things one can be left with.
Beautiful choice! Hadn't listened to this in a while. I need to revisit this album.
Raybeard, don't think my unsensitive, but I laughed at your mother's comment. I totally get it. Kate isn't for most everyone.
Kate B. does divide people, B. Some only hear the screeches and shrieks, but people of 'our' refined tastes recognise the profundity underneath. Well, that's what I maintain anyway. :-)
I love Kate Bush
