One of the most attractive features of dogs generally is that one can read their emotions like an open book with its printing in CAPITAL letters, even if it's not always clear what gave rise to that emotion (though usually it is).
As for Her Majesty, looks like she's been doing some slimming lately - though it's probably only the angle of the shot.
