Excited

It was an iffy week for animal pics. I had long long hours, so my time with them was limited, and when it even happened it was 05:00 or later at night. I did what I could - though I never did capture one of Sophie.

Like Pete, Shep is the dog who wouldn't let me take a great pic.

He was rooting around in the snow with his nose. It was great, but you can't truly see it.

First thing he does after coming home is to grab his favouite toy (which is saying something, given the number of them): Arnie the Armadillo.  well, that's what I've taken to calling him.

Shep takes him everywhere!

He grabs Arnie and brings him up to the dressing room.

...and he brings him up to the sofa to sleep with him.

I did snag a quick video of him when I got home and freed him from his crate. It's not his most excited, but it's still fun to watch.

the 2nd Law

So there is a story of an Oklahoma GOP senator (state, I'm assuming, no congressional) who was busted in a sleazy motel with an underage boy.

Yawn.

First, things like this happen so often, it borders on cliche.

He'll (I didn't get a name and cannot be bothered to even toggle over to Gooooooogle it) confess he strayed from the Lord, he's sinned, he's been forgiven by Jebus and be welcome back to his house and his job with open arms.

It's a Republican story as old as time.

I feel bad for the kid. Not that he had sex with an older man - I mean, what gay soon-ish to be coming of age kid doesn't have sex with an older man?   What?  It couldn't have just been me, right?

I'm more condemning his choice of man. I haven't seen the kid, but you gotta figure he could do better than that.

So no, none of that part of the story even raised an eyebrow from me.

The (state) senator (and yes, I'm minimizing his importance by saying he's just a state senator, from Oklahoma no less) has broken three laws:  engaging in child prostitution, transporting of a minor for prostitution and the only thing that did raise said eyebrow:

"engaging in prostitution within 1,000 feet of a church"

Seriously.

First off, you can't swing a dead hooker without hitting a church every 1,000 feet in Oklahoma. So by that standard, there should really be a lot more arrests in the area of sex-for-money in the Sooner state.

Don't even start me on the sex inside the church......by men......with boys. But to be fair, the law is within 1,000 feet of a church.....not in it.

Admittedly, I haven't read details on this, but the word 'prostitution' comes up a lot - and in each of the charges.

I'm assuming, that the state senator, wasn't the one selling, but the one buying. Which means, the kid was..........selling. Or time sharing. Or leasing his space. Good for him for having an entrepreneurial spirit.

His business model might be off a bit, but assuming he wasn't human trafficked into doing this, he clearly knew what he was doing.  ....and how to make a buck, though it seems doubtful this time that he ever got paid - even up front.

I'll be honest - I think the whole thing wouldn't have hit the lame stream media had it not been for the church angle.

To quote SCROTUS:  "Sad!"

I'm Gone

The Muses are not really here today - or last night, I guess.

They might be here, but I'm not listening. It's been a weird three days of work. A weird two weeks, actually. I'm not normally the optimist - and while it is clearly going to be a rough few months.....or half year....but I'm hoping it brings some new blood into what I'm doing.

I'm hoping the old guard who isn't really interested in producing changes their tune or moves on.

As it is, I'm all business-planned out.  I've done nothing this week that didn't involve revenue enhancement, looking at CPT codes, volumes and work relative value units.

....and you didn't think my job was glamourous.

I guess the joke is on you.

Now I'm off to eat some Girl Scout Cookies.

Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of

In the ever on-going quest to be pain free, I'm attempting eastern medicine.

Perhaps it's futile for a 50-something man to be pain free. Perhaps this is just my life from here on out.

Remember that time you thought you were young and invincible?  Yes - four Tuesdays ago.

My how time flies.

While I have not eschewed Western medicine to help quell my aches and pains, I have added an Eastern component: acupuncture.

Work has offered eight Mondays of acupuncture and / or massages. It's in a public and group setting, so massage is out for me. It is only a chair massage - and that is the only kind I've had, and even that I don't want it public.

Acupuncture, however, intrigued me. It didn't seem that invasive and I figured - what could it hurt?

For the 21 needles that went into me - most were in the ears......as you can see.  That is not old man hair growing out of there................yet.

In the title image, if you look past the sheen of my scalp, you'll see one or two needles sticking out of the top of my noggin.

The rest were in my arms.

The needles were place in accordance to my concerns of my 'tennis elbow' and my shoulder impingement. But it seems that everyone got needles in the ears - regardless of their malady.

One or two in the ear really smarted upon going in, but other than that, it was all good.  For 45 minutes, I closed my eyes and meditated as much as one can in a sectioned off area in a hospital lobby.

Time didn't drag or fly with this. I was just in the moment - not even truly wondering if it would help me in the slightest.

Austin took out my needles at the end of my time and asked how it was. I didn't have a true answer - it all seemed fine, but I had nothing definitive to say about how I felt.

As it turns out - my arm would end up feeling better for the next 10-12 hours. I have zero idea if it was a placebo-effect or if it actually worked. Austin told me it would get better and that I'd see better results with more treatments.

Monday was round 2.  I had PT the following day and they asked. Monday felt good, Tuesday I had screaming pain, but I do believe that was temporary and due to cleaning snow off the driveway earlier in the morning.

We will see how it progresses. After the 8 week trial period, and I seem to get results, then hell, maybe I'll do a few in-office acupuncture sessions. I'll let you know.

Just stick with me.

Mockingbird

Oh......you know, I was all ready to write a completely different post for today.  But as I do most days, I come home to see what pearl that the Dump administration might give me - all while trying to avoid the news.

Cleary, they love to be mocked.

How can they not?  Isn't that what Kelleyanne is getting paid for?

But I go back to this:  DISTRACTION.

They tote out "Ms" Conway to say something completely moronic - such as microwaves as camera shit - while hoping you miss the story on Dumpcare, where in 14 MILLION people will lose healthcare in the first year.  24 million over the next ten.

Considering there are roughly 22 million people on the ACA, that is pretty much most everyone. I honestly don't know how they'll love an additional 10 million over the next decade, when it seems like no one can, or will be able to afford, to sign-up for the new plan.

Sure the new plan will save $337 billion - and why wouldn't it?  When the government is not assisting for people to be covered, there is no cost - that all falls to the hospitals, as the patients will be self-pay, which means no pay.

So Dumpsters - still happy you voted for the twat?

I think that absolute best part of the Dumpcare story is the ACA's biggest opponent, the new head of Heath & Human Services discounts the CBO report - even though the head of the CBO is a Republican appointee. I like how HHS says, the CBO was wrong about the ACA, so they're wrong about this.

Meaning, HHS claims that the CBO said there'd be 8 million more people signed up for the ACA than actually did.  So............then maybe they are wrong this time

True.

Maybe Dumpcare won't save $337M.....and only save $100k. Maybe it won't drop 14 million folks......maybe it will be 20 million.  Hey. The CBO was wrong before, why would it not be wrong again - just not in the GOP's favour.  But no one is asking that question.

But the voting public has an attention span of a gnat. Not only are they easily distracted, they get bored easily. They don't realize what affects them until it's gone, and by then it's far too late. I'd say that's sad, but I'm thinking they get what they deserve.  They went for flash over substance.

For a man who cares more about his ego than his actual job - any of them, not just his current one - one would think he'd put a better face on his administration that he wouldn't have such buffoons being allowed to talk to the media.

But, then I guess you can't distract with people spouting..........truths!

So, people will mock these folks........and rightfully so. Just don't let them pull the wool over your eyes.   Again.

12 of 12

So I'm doing my 84th 12 of 12.

Normally it is 12 pictures taken on the 12th of the month. Since I only post once per day, you get my images the following day. All pictures taken with my iPhone. Click images to enlarge, if you choose.

Created by Chad Darnell and picked up from, what I can tell, any number of random bloggers who then link back to him and vice versa. Chad is no longer doing this, nor is successor coordinating the linking of other 12 of 12'ers anymore. Now it's just Erik and myself - that I know of.

I still continue to do this, because of all my consistent post topics, I actually like this one the most.

And it's a dual post day - as it's Monday, so I also have a My Music Monday entry as well.

'
06:35.   Or body-clock: 05:35.
Shep wanted up.  710 offered to take him for his morning walk. I stayed in bed for a while longer.

07:45.  Putting on clothes.  It's cold out....and in.

07:50.  Honey Nut Cheerios b'fast.
Just like almost every single day.

08:30. Watching the clothes go 'round

9:30.  Flow time.  ....well, in 15 minutes.

11:25.  Target.  Floss and Jock Itch Spray.......because, I'm a jock!

11:45. Hot chocolate on a cold day.  19 F. Feels like 11.

12:20.  Dog Walk.
I got out of the a.m. one, but not the noon one.

13:40.  Roasting Chicken.
Actually to protein for my lunch week - to put in salad.

17:45.  Salt.
Adding it to my mother's water softener.

18:05.  Nana the Treat Lady.
Shep is on his best behaviour with her.

19:20  Sunset.
710 actually took the pic. I was driving. Coming back from my mother's house.

...and now your Baker's Dozen.....

20:20.  Salad.
Making my lunch for tomorrow (today).

That's it for March 2017.

My Music Monday

Why haven't I done this before?  A Monday song on Monday.

While sticking with Erik's theme of Irish music - sans U2 - why not go with the Boomtown Rats (lord, they have a website....that also links to Bob Geldof's ebay page.  Anything for a buck, eh Bob?).

Sure "I Don't Like Mondays" is the super-obvious choice, but it wasn't my first one.

I was going to do "Up All Night" which used to be a favourite......but when I queued it up, I kind of went, "wow.....was this song always this annoying?"  I fear it was, but I chalked it up to youth, being perpetually drunk and a very short attention span.

I actually had the 45 for "I Don't Like Mondays". It was the single version. I liked the album version better - and this is allegedly it, though it's been years since I've listened to either rendition.

Ad of the Month

Oh this month, we have a local ad to bring your way.

I'm no fan of the local car commercial, but at least in Cleveland more of them than not, have their stinking kids or grandkids in them.......some of them singing.  UGH.  I'd never walk through their doors based on that alone.

But this ad came on a few weeks ago. Now there are different variations, but what you really need to see the super gay-acting guy in it (usually in the upper left of the screen).

I say gay-acting, because part of me doesn't think he's queer at all.  Then part of me wants to be that homo that I'm not and yell, "yaasss queen!"

I know I should be more accepting of our brethren, but sometimes they make it so difficult.

Honestly - the stance!  The hands on the hips. The hand gestures. The combo of the two.

.....and I still wouldn't walk through their doors.

Barking at the Moon

Shep Day.  Sophie Day. Saturday.

Blurry tail. Wags.

Someone is jonesing for dinner.

I worked from home yesterday.

Someone kept me from doing all I could do, as he thinks he is a lap dog. Which he, of course, was.

Bonding time.  Kind of.

Another work from home photo.

Blobby getting yelled at.  Continually.

Shep's new favourite toy.  Or as 710 calls it:

Donald J. Warthog.

Shep takes it everywhere. It's so cute to watch.

Shopping with Blobby

Yet another installment in the drudgery that is everyday shopping. The camera-phone makes it a bit more fun - though I get looks whenever I take pics of products. Like I care what people think!

This is actually Shopping with Meredity.

She sent me the link almost two months ago. I have no excuse for not using it, as I haven't done a Shopping segment since December.

Snail Masks.

I guess 'clay' is just too pedestrian for some.

While I suppose I could go and read the product information, that seems like it would take all the fun out of a very gross-sounding piece of commerce.

Is it slow-acting, or is it just made up of ground-up snails? Or does it crawl over your face? Either way: ick.

As I went to amazon to find the product that Ditto sent to me, I will admit that I'm less surprised that it exists and more that there are so. fucking. many.  different kinds of this stuff.

Of course, as I scrolled down, I happened to see something that made me chuckle more than snails on a face:  Donkey Milk Skin Mask.

...I'd make a joke, but I try not to go for the lobs.

Beauty and the Beast

I have not seen Disney's animated Beauty and the Beast. I have see Jean Cocteau's La Belle et la Bête, well, because I'm gay.

I did not see the Linda Hamilton / Ron Perlman thingy that was on TV pre-Terminator movies.

To be honest, I have no intention of seeing the new people version of Beauty & the Beast, but.....there is something about a boycott that makes me want to plunk down the dollars.   Oh, I might buy the ticket, but there's no way I'm sitting through that.

For those who missed it: the boycott is for a moment that could be construed as 'gay'. People in the south are every so upset by this. Theaters are not going to carry the movie because....homos.

I guess the girl-on-beast thing is ok. I mean, it is the south, I'm sure it's ok.

So, how to make Beauty even that more gay?  Well........like this.

I guess besides being super queeny, it's semi-funny. And what else is funny is that you don't even have to have seen the original to get it. And it's good, bad lip synching is pretty good.

Best for Last

We are two movies behind in our goal of 24.  That is assuming we do two movies per month. We were good.............for the first week of January.  Then zilch.

Me thinks I've overreached.

We shall see.

But at least I know we'll hit three movies this year, even if we have to wait for December to get to #3.

Dick

“That’s what America is about, a land of dreams and opportunity,’’ he said. “There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less. But they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-granddaughters, might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land.”

Is there a dick bigger than Ben Carson?

The answer, of course, is rhetorical. But to be on the safe side, the answer is "no".

I'd say - almost - that I could see this coming from any white man (or Kelleyanne) in this administration.  I'm sure they thought 40 acres and a mule was government overreach. And I should not be so stupid to believe that an educated (you don't get through med school on charm) man, let alone a black one, would / could ever think something like the above, let alone say it........aloud.....in public.......to his own employees.

And let's think about this too......

Forget 'what the fuck', let's go with 'WHY the fuck?'

How does the story of slaves (or "immigrants") even factor into HUD and it's every day operations? And can you say "immigrant" in this administration without it followed by, "deport"?

The Department of Housing and Urban Development was stunned by the uproar and spent part of the afternoon responding to the news media on Twitter.

Bull. Shit.   I'm calling it.

The hired spokesman spent the afternoon responding and was stunned. Well, actually, the rest of HUD was stunned too.......but not at the uproar, but by their new boss.

I know I've said this before and I will again and again...........but how can this administration get any worse?  Or dumber?

My Music Monday

Erik's theme this month. March = St. Patrick's Day, I guess......and not college basketball.

So when he suggested musicians from Ireland (after two other failed suggestions), one would think you'd go right to U2 (which we would later "promised" to try to keep away from) ....and they were a quick second, but my first thought was what would become Erik's first artist as well:  Van Morrison.

And I will taunt Mr. R U. Bright (?) with choosing the most obvious Morrison song there could be. Don't get me wrong - "Brown Eyed Girl" is an incredible song.......that you hear a thousand drunk people sing along to (present company included) .....or worse, to which they karaoke.  {shudder}

I almost - almost - went with "Moondance", which is another incredible song. As is "Someone Like You" and even "Wild Night" (though I think I like the Mellencamp / Ndegeocello version better).

But I'm going with the title track of the first physical Morrison album I ever bought back in 1978: "Wavelength".  I played the song and disk to death.

It's funny - back then I considered Morrison an "old" artist, as he was recording in the 60s. But Wavelength was his 10th disk. He's had at least 20 releases since this.  The man is a prolific machine.

The keyboards / synth on "Wavelength" are not typical Morrison, but it was the late '70s, all musical bets were off.

I think you'll have to bare (bear?) through the first minute until the song truly launches.

Listen

Do not buy into SCROTUS' tweets regarding Obama wiretapping Dump Dower.

It's distraction. He's trying to show us something shiny to have us look away from something. Maybe it's Sessions / Kushner / Flynn and fuck knows who else has been licking Putin's butthole via and envoy or ambassador.

Or maybe it's about something of which we are not yet aware. Because we know....tick tick tick........with this administration, something else is coming.

Mind you, Dipshit Dump has zero proof. But that is his M.O. He doesn't need it. He just takes to the Twatter ...puts a number of exclamation points behind it - and somehow it becomes gospel.

But I believe all it is, is distraction.

And it's working. Every banner on every news show is carrying it. We the people, fall for his shit over and over again. Yet he and his cronies are the ones still prattling on about 'fake news'.....and they don't even get the irony.  Or they're just out and out mocking the U.S. population. This time, I'm going for the latter.

Wasn't SCROTUS just saying complaining last week something about the unwritten guidelines of former presidents not saying anything bad about the current one?

He was speaking of Obama, but wouldn't Shrub be in that category too, who kind of mentioned the racist shit in this White House has got to stop?

But even if Dump thinks that protocol is some kind of standard - he clearly does not believe it to be reciprocal. There is no way that man could ever hold his tongue or an non-verbalized thought. Still, accusing a former president of wiretapping his building?

It should be noted that this is a man who was calling head's of state and lord knows who else on an unsecured Android phone. I have to believe Tim Cook is praising Jebus that SCROTUS isn't an Apple man. It sounds like if any half-decent hacker wanted to get into his data it wouldn't be that difficult. Who needs the NSA to tap the phones?

However, if the stories have been about how much the Dump team has been in touch with Russia - and now it's not a question of if, just how often - will the claims eventually be, Obama knew of this contact and did nothing?

They say the first 100 days are the most important in any presidency. I don't believe that - I mean, yeah, I'll say it, "9/11".  So it wasn't true for Shrub. But if it is - then SCROTUS is squandering away his time.

...or maybe he's not.....and he's doing all the things he's doing and we are not looking......because of 'mean tweets'.

Saturday.  We know what that means.

Shep likes my side of the bed best of all. I have to move him every single night.
Worth it.

Klose Up Kitty.

I love my Sophie.

He really loves the radiant heat floors.

And there's never a moment of rest.
But Sophie doesn't get much 1:1 time with her dad these days. I (and she) will take it where she can get it.

To Russia With Love

So - your National Security Advisor resigns over reports that he spoke to Russian officials post-election and pre-inauguration and then lied about it to Mike Pence....and no doubt others.

Now your Attorney General - the keeper of the laws - had undisclosed talks with a Russian Ambassador during the GOP convention. And lied about it happening. And he's still employed.

First off - I LOVE that no one is actually talking about the fact that a Russian Ambassador was at the GOP convention. But the heart of the matter is that Jeff Sessions (pictured to your left....I swear it's him!) lied about the event. Because again - he is the keeper of the laws of the country. And lying just seems.........wrong.

Oh wait. Wait. Sorry.  He he denied misleading Senator Al Franken, Democrat of Minnesota, when he said during his confirmation hearing that he had not met with Russian officials about the Trump campaign......though he totally did.

Oh wait. Wait. Sorry.  Yes.  That totally is lying.

Or, his comment “not aware of any of those activities” when me, Al Franken {think about it.....think about it....} asked that there was a report of Dump surrogates exchanged information with Russia during the campaign.

So if not an out and out liar, then he has full-on dementia?  Does he know David Cassidy?  Or maybe he only thinks he knows David Cassidy?

Either way - do you want a man who can't recall facts to be heading our justice system?  Can't a defendant now argue that withholding the truth - or alternative facts - be ok and that they can't convict on that?

...well Randi, blow jobs do not impact national security.............if you do it correctly.

Hungry Like the Wolf

In my never-ending quest to be butch, I somewhat failed again.

710 got tickets to the Cavs game the other night. Part of me wanted to go. Part of me wanted to stay home with Shep. We finally decided it would be best to do something that wasn't couch-dwelling.

The seats were good. The food was fair, as you'd expect at a sporting event. Blobby had no alcohol, as it was a school night.

And actually it was a good game, even though Kevin Love is probably out for the season.  {sigh}.

But the other sick or injured player were back, including LeBron....who had a good game. Not as good as Kyrie......the one who thinks the world is flat.

No. I'm not kidding. And I don't think he was either.

I guess he doesn't know the earth is round........like a basketball.

There were quite a few times I thought we might lose, but in the end we were the champions. Yay us.

If you haven't been to a pro basketball game lately, it's only half about the game. The contests during televised commercial breaks, or the presentations during half-time seem to be what it is all about. Oh, and the "dancing" whores.  I am so sorry - - cheerleaders. I meant cheerleaders.

At one point, during whatever routine they were doing, to whatever song that was playing, 710 turned to me and said: are they dancing to the song we are hearing?

They were and they weren't.  I'm guessing they have three routines - and they rotate them regardless if they're playing a hip hop song or Bon Jovi. Silly 710 - trying to put logic to boots and boobs. Because that's all people were seeing.  I mean, except for the gays.

As for my butch fail, the highlight of my evening might not have been the opportunity to cash in on 10 free chicken McNuggets (if you present a ticket to McDs after the Cavs score 100 points or more, you get deep fried poultry parts.......for no cost!).

No, it was the live version of Hungry Hungry Hippos.  Sorry - only one "hungry' as not to violate registered trademarks.

People supine on carts with buckets with people to push them....and in costume.  40 some balls in the center of the court and a whistle and timer.  Yes, see the title image.

The one who gets the most balls wins (it is like dating.....well....gay-dating) $75 to be used at the Cavs team shop....which gets you about 82% of a shirt.

On the upside, I was able to chat intelligently about the game the next day at work. And never once did I mention Hungry Hungry Hippos.

Classless Clown

You know, there are days I have nothing to blog about and then days when I can't get it into just one post.

Granted, many a-thing has been keeping me from writing about current political shit - like losing the Oscar thingy, and baking my infamous Prune Surprise Press Cookies™for a certain "someone".  Shhhh. It'll be our secret.

So....let's just start off with the Jews.

Sure, he started off his State of the Union address be denouncing anti-Semitism.

Well, I heard he did - I certainly wasn't clicking on that. I turned on something slightly less caustic: the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I decided to catch a group of catty, vicious, silicone-injected women with no personalities, over watching SCROTUS.

In a way, he had to say something pro-Jew, considering earlier in the day the stories leaking that he implied that maybe Jews were ruining their own cemeteries or calling-in threats to their local JCCs to make others look bad.

Look it up. He did.

************************************

Then there was the whole blaming anyone else on that Navy Seal's death. Everyone else. I think it is fairly safe to day that SCROTUS doesn't own the placard: the Buck Stops Here.  I applaud the father who refused to meet with him.

Would it have been so fucking hard to say "we lost him", meaning the Seal? No....it was "they". Dump has no culpability.

He's a coward.

************************************

He's a coward who says we don't win wars anymore.

"I have to say when I was young in high school and college, everybody used to say we never lost a war, we never lost a war."

Nor has he ever read a history book. But that's fake history.

When he was in college, he got a deferment......or five. And if I recall my history, I don't remember Vietnam being all that victorious.

To be fair he did say, "everybody use to say..."  Because he only heard we never lost a war. Once again, he didn't do the work himself. He used audible Cliff Notes. Much like the intel he gets on Sweden from Fox "News".

************************************

Now there is the back-pedaling on immigration - and that he's "open" to a legal pathway.

Perhaps someone told him that the Masters candidate in Russian poetry won't ever clean the bathroom at a Carl's Jr - or that if everyone had a college degree, someone would still have to polish the gold on the outside of his residences.

************************************

Then of course, the piece of pièce de résistance - for the week, possibly for his presidency:

"I have to tell you, it’s an unbelievably complex subject,” President Donald Trump told a group of governors at the White House yesterday. “Nobody knew that health care could be so complicated.”

Nobody?  NOBODY?

Dude - you're a dick.

What scares me is, not only does he actually believe it, now all those dick-knobs who pulled the lever for him think, "geeze, maybe he's on to something!"

************************************

I'll be honest....I don't even know what to do with any of this. It's so far out of the realm of reality it just baffles me.

I will give SCROTUS this:  every time I think he can't top lower himself, he goes one better.

I'm a Loser

10.

That is how many categories Mike and I differed on.  Usually it is like 4-6, leaving the margin of error to be very small for a win or loss.

(...and for the record, Blobby did not "open a door" to being called ugly. I was baited and trapped. And yes, the 'ugly' comment might have been taken slightly out of context, but it was a fine fine line.)

I did miss Mike not being home for the broadcast. Well, he did eventually make it home, but he was pulled a few different ways....with Otis and luggage and all.

The last few award shows - whichever they've been - we've live-chatted during. It's made for great fun {of course, I'm only speaking for myself}.  Personally, since he was out in Southern California, I'm not sure why he just didn't pull a few of this strings and get an invite to the shindig.

I guess he's waiting to use that card to get something really really nice..........like a sit down with legendary Oscar winner: Adrian Brody.

Now, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway might say I had won, but the makers of La La Land thought the same thing, so.......

One never knows where this could go...or how it could turn out.  .....though I think we all know the reality of it......I'm La La Land in this situation.

It started out very strong for me. I was up by two. Then by one. Then tied. Then......well......not.

It seems that seeing 24 movies in a year doesn't pay off in these situations. Do you wanna know how many Mike has seen this year?  Do ya?  Do ya???

One.

One fucking movie.  ....and I don't mean pornography. But I don't don't mean that either. Because I just don't know. I was using the word as an adjective, not a verb.

Truth be told, as much as I wanted to stick with the show, especially since Mike finally caught up on Tivo (isn't it cute he still has Tivo......and actually records award shows?). We could have had a funny exchange......except for the fact that it was after 22:30 and they were only at the 11th award, out of 24.

Mike might have given up on beauty sleep a long time ago, but I still at least try to make the valiant effort.

So I had to get up yesterday a.m. and make my way through the other 13 awards via the news. And since it's all "fake news" who even knows if those are the correct winners they published.

A few years ago, Mike "joked" that it would all come down to the 'adapted screen play' and sure enough it kind of did.  That is where he clinched it.

The breakdown goes (and I have to publish it, so Mike does not think I'm cheating):

4-3.  It's like a crappy hockey score. Or possibly any Cleveland Browns game.

Now I am on the hook for some kind of treat to send his way.  Maybe a gift card to Krispy Kreme? No - he probably already has a lifetime rewards membership card there - right?

Of course, I could just get treats for Otis. That way I'd fulfill my obligation of a baked treat sent to his address.......and it helps Mike keep that tankini bod.

Whatever I send, I'm 100% sure he'll be gracious about the entire thing.  (where's that eyeroll emoji when you need it?)
