There is no surprise here:  I don't care about the pope. New or old. 

He will never affect anything in my life - or death. Ever. 

So, yesterday 710 texted from the car: "they chose a new pope. From America!!".  My response:  "well....fuck". 

As to how the U.S. has been going, I would assume we'd just get a Benedict XVI+1 in terms of being a hardliner  conservative Catholic - that way they can stonewall and distract from this U.S. Catholic contingent molesting kids. 

Allegedly, no. They elected someone who is considered a centrist, but on many social issues he's seen as progressive, embracing marginalized groups like Francis, who championed migrants and the poor. Better yet, he's also critical of JD Vance.  (YAY!)

MAGA and far-rights are calling him a "Marxist Woke Pope".  Such fucking snowflakes.

I laugh and cringe at the same time. Again, with the 'woke' shit. You mean, the Jesus shit?  Love thy neighbor, my fucking ass!

And I'm guessing - just guessing, of course - that the days of the pope being considered "infallible"  are over and not recognized or believed by "the faithful".  Should they believe the infallible shit, there'd be no uproar, right? 

They're only faithful when it is convenient for them, of course. And they don't understand irony, let alone hypocrisy. Nothing I haven't touched on in countless of other posts over he last two decades. 

Here's the thing: the pope has no power in U.S. government. Never did. They can express whatever beliefs they want, but it doesn't (or hasn't) changed policy on anything from abortion to death penalty to refugees - and the list goes on. 

So why the fuck get bent out of shape over this one?  Or any of them. 

Sure you could tell them to "suck your dick", but you know.........priests. They might take it literally.

This will piss of some geographically placed people, but so be it:

The Louisiana governor signed into law that all public schools who receive state funding (how is that not all of them?) are required to post the 10 Commandments in each classroom.  

Not each school.  Each Fucking Classroom. 

Let's dispense with the separation of church and state, since there are so many factions who don't understand it, believe it or want it. Of course, they only want their religion recognized. 

This I find hilarious. Christians believe in the 10 Commandments. 

Last I checked, Christ was a New Testament guy. The 10 - which conveniently don't actually physically exist - are Judaic. 

I bet if you told the Louisiana governor you wanted to hang Jewish writings in each school he'd shut you down in a minute. But I get it:  people are stupid. And no one is even following these commandments. None of them. 

Dollars to doughnuts they can't recite them, let alone in order. They certainly don't live by them. 

This just grinds my gears. 

And yes, I'm sticking with the South thing. There aren't many states in general passing laws to actually help people or expand services to anything - but the South in general (Arkansas, Alabama, Florida Louisiana, Texas - for starters) are hell fucking bent on restricting everything. 

They do no good. If it ever gets the slightest amount of repair, it will not be in our lifetime. ....and that is even if a child under 10 is reading this blog. Their lifetime either. 

This is all so fucking heinous it makes me want to vomit. 

Here's hoping someone challenges this state and this douche. Though SCOTUS as it stands now isn't going to be of much help.

Passover

I am amused when people will say "happy Passover".

I think people think it's like Easter where one gets Peeps, eggs and chocolate. Instead of plagues and bitter roots. 

I guess the only overlay in the Venn Diagram of the two observances is that the first born son is killed. If only Jebus had some lamb's blood above his door.

There ain't nothing 'happy' about it. 

But it seems that people don't get the movie - as cheesy as it is - the 10 Commandments. I don't truly think they associate it with Passover. 

I mean pre-cable TV, for years it was lumped into being seen once a year, the same weekend as the Wizard of Oz. All of it fantasy to most. 

I can guarantee you, 99% of the people who saw the movie had heard of "Moses" and no other character in that movie. Though you gotta laugh at Edward G. Robinson playing any role in that. 

Honestly, Jebus was a Jew and is there any mention of Passover in the New Testament?  There are people who will say that the last supper was a Seder, but..........I dunno. 

A quick Gooooooogle search will say the NT "suggests".......fill in the blank for your own cherry picking. I'm beginning to think Jebus wasn't a very observant Jew. Yeah yeah - he died on "Good Friday" before sundown, but.........that just seems convenient for storytelling. You gotta back that "three days" (really, 36 hours) from your contrived "Easter Sunday". 

Of course, it would all be contrived.

I'm one of those guys who will poke holes in already existing gaping holes in movies. Yeah, the visuals too, but mostly the plot lines that don't seem to make sense. 

Watching Meryl Streep in the Devil Wears Prada is great, but the actual storyline of Anne Hathaway's character is horrendously bad - in acting as well as conception. Don't even start me on the first Harry Potter book / film. With one line - one! - it negates the rest of the series, or should have. It could have ended all with the Philosopher's / Sorcerer's Stone. 

These aren't exactly the same things as "spoiler alerts" - and I do try to avoid those for folks when I review movies. 

But back in 1455 and and 1523 Rogier van der Weyden and Lorenzo Lotto weren't above it. 

And I love it.

The Right's inability to sate their appetite for tales of trans people and drag queens for some cheap, but seemingly effective political points is mind boggling. That they overlook actual fucking abuse - doing absolutely nothing! - because religion and religious leaders are A). Big Business.  B). the Endorsement the need to get. 

....and B, is really #1. 

And the ignoring isn't a Right thing. Let's see what Pappy Joe - a Catholic - has to say. You'll have to lean in really close to hear - but no worries, I'll tell you:   what you'll hear is nothing. 

The only difference between the Right and Left on this are the Drag Queens and Trans people. Oh, I don't thing the dems are much more progressive on either of those groups of folk, but they just keep their pie hole closed. 

In theory, if the Right (or Left) truly cared about 'pro life' {snicker} they'd care about this issue. But they care about this about as much as they do school shootings. 

No.  No.  Wait. They care less about this, because there are no guns to protect. 

The GOP is pro-birth. They are not pro-life.  The church is pro-boy cherry.  You know something - call it what it is. Say 'boy cherry' and watch heads spin more than Linda Blair in a Georgetown brownstone. 

But fuck you media - let's stop calling it abuse:  IT. IS. RAPE. 

Media skirted that word for Jeffrey Epstein and they do it for the church. And gymnastics doctors. And teachers. And coaches. Consent or not, anyone underage........RAPE.  It is kind of the law.  I mean, not in Alabama, but.........

So, yes, big sprawling headline that will disappear in a few hours along with the story itself. Even if it didn't the lack of comment from the Left or Right will hasten the death of the story.  Yet the problem remains.

Some GOP operative from North Carolina, whom I have never heard a thing about.......mostly because he's a hick from NC, has publicly accused the head of CPAC of sexual battery. 

Not shocking. Not surprising. 

Christians in politics are the biggest of hypocrites, of course. So, it would almost be shocking if it wasn't coming down the pike. 

Funny turn of events: the judge wouldn't allow a $9,400.000 law suit go forward in the accuser remained anonymous, and I'm guessing that is what the accused was counting on.   .....until he gave up the ghost and stated his name. 

I guess grouping a guys ding dong - even clothed - and an invite up to a hotel room is considered sexual battery. Me? I just call it "Thursday".  Tomato. Tahmato. 

Allegedly, this guy has photos, video and texts from the CPAC guy. I mean, I sure hope so. 

I don't know how it will play out and I don't care. Even if the CPAC guy steps down, it won't hurt the organization who has never been worried about facts.............or Christianity. They'll just get another d-bag to take his place. 

BUT............and this killed me........the legal team of the accused (I'm not even going to bother to remember, let alone convey, any of these names) let surface racist writings and rantings of the accuser. 

This is the GOP.  This is CPAC.  This is the South.   

You can't even be in any one of those three, let alone all of them, WITHOUT having racist thoughts, convictions and mindset. It would be wildly more surprising if any of member of any of those groups didn't have a racist tirade trailing them around somewhere. 

Oh no!!!!.......and he liked the Confederate flag.  

You know, the same one is that every GOP rally, every NASCAR race and no doubt every CPAC meeting. Again, you get it with your GOP/CPAC Starter Kit. That an your Racist MadLibs book. 

This is all well and good, but hardly a barn burner.  $9.4 MM does seem like an overreaction to a cupping. I'm just guessing someone is in debt.............or worse, saw it happen and pegged the accuser as a homo. ....but I'm just guessing.

I'm still a little unnerved by Uvalde. I hope many are. 

First off, I get the police weren't as good as they could have been. And you can train for anything, but theory and reality are not the same. 

And it is my estimation that it is no one's job to sacrifice themselves to someone who can rattle off 150 rounds every 10 seconds. Rushing in would have been a suicide mission. 

Yes, BLOTUS would have run in. He said as much after Parkland - but you know, he didn't tell the truth a lot of the time. Much like Greg Abbott. 

Granted, that will now be the Abbott story. Not the guns. Not the access to guns. Not the lack of background or mental health checks. Not the - you can buy 10,000 rounds of ammo with nary a peep - but you go into a national database if you buy a single pack of pseudophed. 

Nope - the pins are all in place to squarely place the blame on the police department. For the entire thing. 

Driving around this last weekend, as we are apt to do every weekend, we came across church after church, synagogue after synagogue with 19 student chairs, and 2 adult chairs out on each of their respective lawns or parking lots. 

I stopped only twice of the 7-8 we ended up seeing, to take these images. 

I am assuming through their own social media streams, many of these houses of worship got together to do this. It would have been too coincidental otherwise. 

But this got me thinking too.  FFS, the GOP and "the church" are forever in a perpetual 69. Religion has such a sway in whatever the GOP wants to do, or that religion wants the GOP to do, that why the fuck are they not pushing some gun control?  ANY gun control. 

But then I realized that it is really the GOP and the Evangelicals. They are "the church" of which we speak. Yes, they support Catholics when they want to deny Pappy Joe communion, but that's about where it ends. Jews?  Only if they want to support Israeli forces - but actual Jew stuff?  Noooooooooo. 

And the Evangelicals already open carry in their churches, so there is no one taking up this cause. The ecumenical and unitarian factions - the liberal wing of religion, if you will - are the ones putting up these displays (and some reform Jews), but they hold no chance of change with the GOP.........or the Democrats for that matter. 

BTW - FUCK Chuck Schumer.  He has stated there are ZERO plans to put forth legislation for any sort of gun control.  "Your vote for change matters this November" - or some such bullshit. 

Dude - you're already losing the mid-terms in the House. The writing is on the wall. DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE you fucking piece of shit!

As much as I hate McConnell, he at least had his people in check. Schumer is a 'leader' in name only. It says 'majority' (for now), but he has no majority..........he barely has the minority.

Like a Prayer

For all the people I've taken through HR lately, and fired, my turn could easily be up next. 

For the holiday, a friend / co-worker / psychiatrist got me this "fucking" calendar of the day. 

It sits behind me, facing outward for any and all to see. The non-problem is: I don't see anyone and almost no one comes into my office. Covid - dontcha know. 

Yes restrictions are lifting, but it's a hospital, so in certain ways, they're not. Even if fully lifted, 90% of my staff works not in my building, let alone the same floor. The 'n' is very small of who will see something like this:

But outside my office is a desk built for secretarial support. I don't have, nor need, a secretary. I've been doing my own faxing since I was a tween. 

The other day, I heard some noise outside my office and jokingly go, "what the hell is going on out there???". 

It turns out, someone was moving in at that desk. She doesn't report to me.  ....and she's named after a character on the Colbys. You'll have to figure that one out.............on all levels.

While she set up her desk, she didn't start until this last Monday. But on her desk, is a page-a-day calendar that is diametrically opposed to mine:   bible verse of the fucking day. 

Oh, and she says, "have a blessed day".  And, "g-d never gives us more than we can handle". 

HOW - and I say this nicely - HOW, is this going to end well for me??

I totally get that I'm gonna offend someone, but honestly, why isn't it just as offensive to me when someone spouts religion.  How is 'have a blessed day' any better than "have a great fucking day'?

While I am not a biblical scholar (I know, right???) I learned a few things whilst growing up that are religious themed. 

I'm 99.1% sure that Exodus is pretty clear on false idols and false gods:  they're bad!

Honestly, it's like Bible 101. Maybe even remedial 050. 

For fuck sake, the need to banish false idols pretty much IS the reason for the Ten Commandments. 

So, I don't even see it as irony that a conservative / religious political convention rolls a larger than life sized golden "idol" of BLOTUS into its annual get-together. 

They are so far beyond irony, and into depravity, and so deep into their QAnon wooded area, that there is no forest for the trees. To point any of this out is, ironically enough, the sacrilege. 

And that whole, "don't desecrate the flag" thingy?  Don't take a knee in front of it, but by all fucking means, make them into shorts for a morbidly obese EX , twice impeached, "president" statue. 

Of course, this group was well fucked up before BLOTUS ever opted to run for the office. This place is like ComicCon (well, I'm guessing) where just about anyone can have a "panel".  It's the veritable throw it all against the wall and see what sticks - just as long as no homos, blacks and only women named "Karen" are allowed in. 

Honestly, if there were one place to firebomb - not that I'm advocating it - that would be THE place. Because, seriously, I can't keep waiting for the locust, bloody rivers, frogs and the angel of death. I just need someone with a good old fashioned accelerant and match.

I wanted to title this post "Suck My Dick", but I had no songs with that title......though there are PLENTY of songs out there with that title. 

So, I'll start off this post with:  SUCK.  MY.  DICK. 

This was just days after our "fearless" governor tweeted this pile of bullshit.

Mike DeWine has had some presence in Ohio politics since I was a wee lad, be it State Senate, U.S. House, U.S. Senate, Attorney General (of Ohio, that is) and now Governor. And I needn't remind you, it's been a fuck of a long time since I was a wee lad. 

He is a career politician. I'm guessing able to do nothing but to put food on his table. 

In that 40+ years of 'serving the people' he has - in my mind - had seven good weeks of public service. And those would have been in March - May 2020. 

I'd argue, save Andrew Cuomo, no other governor was more proactive and visible (in a good way) than DeWine, seemingly doing everything right....................until he didn't. 

DeWine caved when it came to making, opening things up and releasing data tracking of school Covid positive testing. He became what he has always been in his 40+ years (minus seven weeks): weak. 

Listen, I didn't watch the debates, but it sounds like anyone there, watching or hearing about them - from all angles - it was a train wreck.  So DeWine's two lips were firmly planted on BLOTUS' shitter (there were nicer ways of saying that, but I'm beyond being 'nice'). I mean, what kind of fucking tweet is that? You don't have to be derogatory - just don't send any tweet. 

But the Day of Prayer.  OMFG. 

First off - as far as I know, we, as a state, have never had one, so.......I'm calling BS on this from the start. Let alone the first recipients to whom it is presented.  

Gee Mike - I don't remember Days of Prayer for the 4,931 (and counting) Ohioans who have died from Covid. Or the other 159,964 (and counting) who have or had Covid. 

Yet you get one soul sucking / country destroying "president" with it {ALLEGEDLY! - as I still think it is a tactic (and working too!) to distract from his tax evasion narrative}, and now you send out shit like this. 

Forget kissing the ass anymore Mike. Just eat the turd that comes out of his ass already, because that is the next step, right? 

I'm still trying to figure out what job in BLOTUS' potential new administration this guy wants. Clearly he hasn't been paying attention. All of them are extremely temporary jobs.  But have at it Mike.

Jerry was the one taking it up the poop chute. And Poolie was degrading Jer in front of his wife....assuming his was actually ever there - or even knew about it. At least until the pics started leaking a few years back.

So, my theory is: since Falwell Jr is worth about $100MM, his wife was ok with taking the fall for all of this - for a nice hefty pay-out......and a one way ticket out of Lynchburg. First class.

Can we just try to ignore the 'chosen one' comment? I don't care in what context he was using it.

I totally get there are some Jews who support BLOTUS - and I'm guessing it's mostly due to Israel, or they're big-assed bankers. Deep down, I'd like to think they have to know he has streak of anti-Semitism running through him.

How does one reconcile white supremacists and neo-Nazi's are 'very good people' and not condemning shooters of synagogues or the guys who are building up to do a shooting - and pulling a voting lever in his favour.

But the quotes set these gun-loving, Jew-hating white men (I mean, it's not even generalizing, is it?) to "punish" the "disloyal".  It's damning, it dangerous, and he knows it, as does his staff.

Why do Steven Miller, Ivanka and Jared think they'll be spared from the "I hate Jews" brigade?  I mean, I think they do think that, but that's not quite the way it works. 

BLOTUS is ramping up to something. Maybe it's just 2020.  His 2015 kick off was about Mexicans being rapists and murders. Now that he's got them deported or locked up in cages, he's doubling down on the Jews.

Honestly, if you're not afraid yet, you should be.

He might have too short of an attention span to commit it to Blogger, but he has no issue finding me and SMS'ing me stuff.  I'm not complaining.......at his advanced age, any use of technology helps keep him from another day of fighting against the inevitable Alzheimer's.

He sends this to me, and when I comment back, he turns on me like he was a cast member of the original Dynasty.  If I were physically there, we'd be wrestling till we both went into the pool.....or at least our stunt doubles would.

FYI - he send me this and then tells ME to "grow-up" . Mind you - there might have been some exchanges between the video and the comment, but I'm sure it was nothing I said.

You know two days ago when I was kind of ambivalent about Notre Dame?  Well, I've firmly moved the annoyed as fuck column.

So far, people have donated nearly a BILLION dollars for one church's renovation. Singular

I get it. It's a nice church. But it's a catholic church - an organization who has no trouble covering their own fucking costs. They have more than billions. Hundreds of billions at the very least. Granted, they need a chunk of that for moving priests around and paying off lawsuits, but they can do that on the interest alone.

What do I care if French millionaires give away their hard earned argent?  I don't.

I DO care when BLOTUS via Fuckabee-Sanders, that the U.S. would offer "assistance".  Even Disney is giving $5 million (another organization that could find the total cost in their seat cushions).

By "assistance" I do hope Fuckabee means we will help carry some 2x4s from point A to point B. Because if we give one fucking dime to this project I will lose it. We have more than enough things to fix with money we're already in debt for - a church in France shouldn't be one of them.

Some sheriff's deputy son - a white guy, I might add - allegedly has burned down three black churches......in the south (surprise! surprise! on all of those elements..............NOT!). I don't see the White House pledging funds for those, but it's not only not their base, it would upset their base should they give any $$$ to them thar houses of worship.

People are bitching about Flint not having clean water - and they don't. But they have the funds. While BLOTUS takes credit, Obama signed that funding.  But it's in form of a loan. The city has to pay that back.

Still we have lots of things this country should be putting our monies toward, as a country. A building in France by a group of money-grubbing religious zealots shouldn't be one of our donations.

Can someone tell me where the dipshit first daughter (no, not you Tiffany.......not this time) and her creepy automaton Jew of a husband have been holed-up for the last few days?

Let's pretend the pipe bombs to current and previous government leaders didn't happen (or that somehow mid-level 1990s Three Doors Down somehow didn't get dragged(?) into that scenario) or that some white guy shot black folks in a grocery store because he couldn't work a door at black church.

I would say it's harder to ignore 11 killed at temple. I'd say when it is the deadliest attack on Jews in the United States.

News programs aren't really saying that. Here and there, but they're kind of burying that fact.

The media and the FBI called the mail bombs 'domestic terrorism'.  You can slap that this motherfucker in Pittsburgh too.  It's religious terror too.

The Anti-Defamation League logged a 57 percent rise in anti-Semitic incidents in the United States in 2017, compared to the previous year - and the largest increase since they started tracking 30 year ago.

Pop Quiz, hotshots:   What happened in 2017 that might allow for the meteoric rise in Jew-hating?   It may or may not have happened on or around January 20th.

This rhetoric is nothing new for this shell of a 'man'......or anyone else in the NRA's pocketbook. Yet people buy it hook-line-sinker. Or enough of them do.

710 accurately said the other day - there is disbelief and no longer a call to action. There was plenty for a school in Florida just eight months ago - but where it is the outrage now?  Could it really be because it was Jewish related?  If so, I'm horribly sickened. 

So I'll ask again:  where is the faux-Heeb first daughter?  Where is that dweeb-heeb of a son-in-law? They're Jewish when it suits them, but not enough to stand up - publicly - to denounce this behaviour that her father won't. They don't dare not tow the line

No doubt the two of them will tag along on a trip to Pittsburgh - a trip the city and the synagogue don't want to happen - and make a display and mockery of themselves and their faux-caring.

Granny Clampett is at it again.

A Religious Liberty Task Force?

First off - why?  In what world does the Dept of Justice need that for?  Yes, the question is rhetorical.

Said 'task force' will "enforce a 2017 DOJ memo ordering federal agencies to take the broadest possible interpretation of “religious liberty” when enforcing federal laws."

Jeff Sessions characterized the task force as a necessary step in facing down the prevailing forces of secularism. “A dangerous movement, undetected by many, is now challenging and eroding our great tradition of religious freedom which must be confronted and defeated, ” says she.

During the announcement of this Sessions specifically mentioned support of bakers refusing service to homos. Good thing that justice is blind, eh?

So, as far as I can tell, we are talking - surprise surprise - conservative christian task force.  I have heard zero mention of Jews, Black christians, Hindus, Muslims or Jedis.

You can dress it up any way you'd like Granny, but we are two steps away from the new Inquisition.
