the Future

I'm one of those guys who will poke holes in already existing gaping holes in movies. Yeah, the visuals too, but mostly the plot lines that don't seem to make sense.

Watching Meryl Streep in the Devil Wears Prada is great, but the actual storyline of Anne Hathaway's character is horrendously bad - in acting as well as conception. Don't even start me on the first Harry Potter book / film. With one line - one! - it negates the rest of the series, or should have. It could have ended all with the Philosopher's / Sorcerer's Stone

These aren't exactly the same things as "spoiler alerts" - and I do try to avoid those for folks when I review movies.

But back in 1455 and and 1523 Rogier van der Weyden and Lorenzo Lotto weren't above it.

And I love it.

As the internet kids would say, IYKYK.

Well, Jesus was neither the first nor the last person crucified. Maybe those were some other crucified dudes that happened to be popular manger decor at the time.

OL: if you can find one reference that had people hanging iconography of other people being crucified in houses and mangers, I'll give that to you. But I'm not holding my breath on anyone finding that.
