I know many are already appalled at my 'normal' cycle, but I get a solid 5.5 - 6.0 hours per night. Well, semi-solid. Since my nasal surgery a few years back, most of my sleep is in a row.
Maybe it's age, but I am writing this at 20:30 and already dozed off on the sofa for a few, and I know I'll be in bed by 21:30.
Yesterday, I got up at my normal time, 03:30 or so, but decided to try and shut my eyes for another 30 minutes. It turned into 30 + an additional 48. I woke at the time I'm usually pulling into the gym parking lot. But now I hadn't been out of bed, peed, dressed or had cereal.
It kind of threw off my day. Kind of not. But again, it 20:33 (now) and all I want is to go to bed.
There was a line from Bob Newhart on the Big Bang Theory, where he answers the door in robe saying it was 19:30, and he had to get to bed so he could get up soon and wander around the house all night.
I'm TOTALLY getting where he's coming from.
