Lucky Star

Of course it's Star Wars Day.  You all know that. Everyone knows that.

(it is also Dr. Spo's mother's b-day....just FYI.)

But it's also Cinco de Cuatro.

At least via Arrested Development it exists.

The Bluth family tried to create a war on May the 5th. The made-up holiday was to utilize all the Cinco de Mayo decorations and food so her Hispanic staff wouldn't take off May 5th.

It didn't work.

I'm not one to really celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Sure, I love tequila and chips, but no reason to go out and get them on a certain day of the year.

Star Wars Day means much more to me.

Years back, unknown to me, Carlos told a group of friends that we would be having a Cinco de Mayo party at our home and he would make tamales and all kinds of Mexican dishes. Everyone was excited; the party never happened because that's Carlos ... he says something, then forgets it.

So, the next year we had the party though we called it Cinco de Never because it looked like we were never having it.

We skipped a year and so this year it's our Sometimes Annual Cinco de Never Party on May 28th.

It's a gift.
