Fourth Time Around

I'm sure as you all know, today is Star Wars Day ("May the 4th be with you!").

You've all got your Death Star cakes in the oven and you are getting your Ewok's groomed for their big parade. I know how you are.

I'm celebrating with a trip to the doctor.

Oh, everything's alright, just a normal scheduled check-up.  You saw my blood draw a few weeks back. I already have most of my results back - everything is in normal range, except my HDL.  It's back to being a little on the low side. I'll have to step up the exercise routine, I guess.  My PSA came back at normal levels so I probably don't have prostate cancer - but I still bet I have to drop trou and bend over.  I can hear that rubber glove snapping on now.

Oh - and I don't have syphilis - so bonus points to me!

I suppose I'll get a talking to about my diet, but that conversation will go in one ear and out the other.  Sorry - it just will.

So, I'll get a nagging over not scheduling a colonoscopy when I really know it's not due for another year. And for the 12th year in a row, he'll tell me I am out of date on, and in need of, a tetanus shot. ...and I do.  He just has to give it and I'll take it, but if he thinks I'm gonna ask for it, he is seriously mistaken.

All in all, it will still be a better time than being in a garbage compactor on Detention AA 023.

....and it still beats celebrating Kent State Shooting Day.

I can also change my logo if I so choose.

Anyone?  Anyone?

Did I see in the news a couple of weeks ago that the Powers That Be are now advising less frequent colonoscopies?

That's cool about the syphilis. I see you didn't mention the crabs...

“During the National Commemoration on May 4th, we commemorate all – civilians and military – in the Kingdom of the Netherlands or anywhere in the world who were killed or murdered since the outbreak of the Second World War, in wartime and in peacekeeping operations.”

On May 4 at 20:00, the National Remembrance takes place. Two minutes of silence are held to commemorate the Dutch war victims.

and in America we have Star Wars day. Explains a lot!
