Just a random song from my music collection, but it's a good one. When the Kinks were good, they were great. They were innovative and one of the first groups do to a concept album.
I could take or leave "Lola", though let's face it, a song back in 1971 talking about a dude dressed as a girl, as sung by the guy dating the "lady".
Bruce Jenner took the song to heart.
While I love a lot of their music but have a special place for today's selection, "Till the End of the Day". It's right near the beginning of their career, but I dig the tune.

I was (and still am) a great fan of the Kinks, though only starting from just after this particular release. I didn't much care for their earlier shouty and/or heavy guitar tracks. For me their peak was from 'Dedicated Follower...' to 'Apeman' i.e. 1966-70 (including 'Lola'), which covered what were, in my opinion, the true 'golden years' of all pop music, specifically 1966-68, a summit which has never been achieved since then - though of course, it can be taken as read that I'm showing my own advanced age.
my kinks faves are "well respected man" and "come dancing".
