The problem with Betty Bowers is anymore she doesn't really ride that fine line of Christian Conservative Woman and satirist.

There was a time that the religious right probably thought she was their advocate not knowing she was poking fun at them.

This last election and this presidency has changed all that. She pretty much calls them out, like in this new video. And she is spot-on, but I don't know it has the same subversiveness as it once did.

That said - the people of which she makes of fun wouldn't have gotten the subtlety. They kind of need a 2 x 4 to the head.........and for lots of reasons.
