I was (am?) intrigued by their song "25". It starts off with a "Dear Prudence" vibe, and then immediately segues into Bond-esque theme. Let there, it would have been fine. Good even.
There is a total need to shift gears in there for the chorus, but the transition doesn't really work. They become two different songs in a way. And I don't know about the counting piece per line. That part goes on far too long.
Still, there is something appealing about the song - though I believe it to be more about the music than the lyrics. The lead singer's voice has promise though. At least there is not notable auto-tune, and that's saying something these days.
