When the original foursome started putting out music with only partial members, they lost their way here and there.
Even in those periods they had a number of songs to help lift up the lesser records, but it wasn't the same.
Now that all four are together, they have a new song, and I'm assuming it is a prelude to a new disk.
I'm just hoping the disk is better than the lead single.
Granted, this thing has been out less than 72 hours by the time I publish, so I haven't listened to it a lot.
"Bright Lights" isn't bad, but it's all been done before........and by this band. And been done better.
I can live with the two versus and the chorus, but the constant repetitive "will you turn he bright lights on?" lyric that literally goes on for 45 seconds (11 times?) and then "you know I think it's gonna be all right" over and over. Just with those two, it's over 25% of the entire running time of the song.
They have done better, they can do better. They have enough good songs of which to run by, but this ain't gonna make a playlist for me.
