Going Up

I'll be honest, I still don't know what's going on with my blog.

I don't even mean 'in general' this time. Specifically.

As I mentioned a month ago, it took me 20+ years to hit 3 million view. It's now only taken me 29-30 days to add another million to that total.

4 million, motherfuckers!

Well, 4,029,793 as of drafting this.

Traffic has increased. Comments have not. I'm not complaining. Just speculating.

It's either a bot-fest, or I'm being very closely monitored - and often - by some unknown sources. My writings really are not any better than before and the Secret Service and NSA would have knocked on my door a long time ago had I been any kind of threat.

If nothing else, the Grammar Police could have paid a visit, as I know I have far too many typos.

Should they be bots, it's happened before where I'd get a surge for a day or three. And by surge, I mean from 3,000 hits per day to 9,000. I'm currently averaging about 35,000 per day. Every day. Actually, I think one time earlier this month I got a "lowly" 13,000.

I am 99% sure there are not that many runners who are stopping by to see how I'm progressing in my training or races.  And by 99%, I mean 100%.

I joked about monetizing this thing, and it was a joke. But if I continue to get 1,000,000 hits per month, maybe I should rethink that. I wouldn't know how that works, and I would refuse pop-up ads and shit like that, but..........why let this "fame" go to waste?

I'll see how this plays out until the end of the year. But my January 1 post always give the stats for the previous year. The % increase alone is going to look awesome (gay-sing that last word............as if you already didn't).

Click on the menu where you compose, scroll down to earnings, and set up a google adsense account. Easier than only fans.
