Bad CIA operatives. Leadership on the take. Kidnapped children little girl as bait. Ordinary citizens who have been trained to be trained killers. And of course, the bad guy who might secretly have a heart of gold.
Did I miss anything?
It has Ryan Gosling. Not at his finest. He's still nice to look at. Which is more than I can say for his co-star, Chris Evans. The cheesy mustache is not a good look for him, though I suppose it suits his character. He does have nice arms.
Yes, all the Bourne's were implausible but honestly there is a plane scene that was just so. fucking. stupid. and unrealistic. And stupid.
The chase and Eastern European town squares scenes are done well enough. Bourne did it better, but they had 131 films to get it right.
There were a number of holes in the plot. Ultimately it was unsatisfying - as it seems to be a set up for 3-4 more movies instead of having much any resolution.

'Thankx' for the 'thumbs-down' on this. Having not been inside a cinema for getting on for two years now I've been seriously contemplating getting back - and the stills I've seen of this one showing Gosling looking H-O-T as ever were starting to tempt me. But seems a bad idea now. Have to look elsewhere.
I enjoy reading movie reviews of movies I won't be seeing. I nevertheless like to know the storyline.
So it was like suffering through 5 seasons of "Alias"?
