Today is Shep's 4th Gotcha Day.
It seems like we have had him a lot longer, yet it also seems like we just got him. You can read about his getting here.
He's a great addition to the family - and he gets us out and about daily. We'd never have explored as many parks, dog parks and counties if we were not with us.
We loved loved loved Petey, and while both hounds, we missed a lot of his formative years.
I think we are all very happy that the "older" couple (who you know were probably younger than we were) couldn't made it work with him.
And while it took us forever to name him, just last weekend I finally came up with the perfect name for him: Angelo. Angelo Bassett.

I take it that you're not attempting to change Shep's name to Angelo. Of course you'll know better than anyone that he's now far too old for that - but you'll keep it under your hat as being his 'real' name.

Happy Gotcha Day... the day the come into our lives is one of the luckiest days of OUR lives. So fortunate are we, that they found and claimed us. I have a lot of regrets in my life, but opening my door to my pups - past and present - has never been one of them. Clever name, dear. Now get him some Tina Turner cha cha heels and an 80's fright wig and put him to work! Dogs need to earn their kibble.
