Bleed to Love Her

Is it that time of the month?

No longer do you have to ask that question.

Etsy, which is all things handmade and vintage (even if the name makes no sense to me), now has menstruation calendars.

The calendar is handmade. The period is vintage.

This was almost my Site of the Month, but I wasn't ready to do another placeholder post, and yet that Muse still is on the lam.

It also reminds me of a little anecdote. I remember being able to torture my little sister who was just becoming a 'woman'. Right around the same time, there were some feminine protection ad where a girl is sitting on her bed, avec Walkman-like product and behind her on the wall was a poster of Led Zeppelin.

I turned to my sister and I says to her, I says, "you know, girls who listen to Led Zeppelin free-bleed".

"Mommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm".

Can you believe I got in trouble for that?

But for props and total credit, I did get the site from Meredity.

She's an Etsy-girl, but I think it is more for just knitting, and you can't knit-one, purl-two your Aunt Flo, no matter how hard you try.

...and c'mon, how can I not use that above image? Who needs a fuckin' Muse, when I got that?

Oh no. I just realized, what if that little bleeding Japanese, Princess Leia-doo'd avatar is my Muse? (though, really take a look at her t-shirt. love it!)

The second question the doctor asks (after "What brings you here?") is "When was the first day of your last period?" Who knows? We have to keep a stupid calendar for just that reason.

my last one was 6/21/89. I had my baby-making parts removed due to cancer that day. have never missed aunt flo since then.
