A friend of mine, Tony, provided me a link yesterday that just made me laugh and laugh.
Allegedly someone doing work in their house came across a 1977 JC Penney catalog and decided to have fun with it on the internets.
The looks. The feel. The stigma!

Were stretch terry coordinates ever really in? Granted, I was never the height of fashion - especially at 14, so it seems I might have dodged a bullet.
For one of my readers, who was a child of the '70's and who now work at JC Penney, well - this just might not be funny at all. Ever.

I think I had that leisure suit!
C'mon now, I love the old catalogs, collect them myself. The sense of humor is still here even if the giant Afro is long gone.
As far as JCP, all I can say is that I'm very grateful to be working for one of the few retailers that will still be around in 2039!
I can't tell if the dude in the yellow pants is going to church or going to bed.
What goes unsaid is, that picture especially is so remdedial International Male, it is hilarious.
