Six. Six. Six.

I'm the guy who went to YouTube to watch Saddam's hanging. Yes, it was me. I'm not embedding the video here, nor am I linking to it. If you want it, I think you know how to do a search.

I am also the guy go had to look and see autopsy photos of Nicole Brown Simpson a decade ago.

But you see, I'm also the guy who got Helter Skelter taken away from him when I read it in school. Oh yeah - did I mention I was in 7th grade at the time? Jeeesh! Maybe I was interested in the judicial process.....sue me! People would probably call me a sick fuck.

Here's a few things on the first two points (Saddam and Simpson): what is on-line is nothing worse than anything they show on any of the umpteen CSI shows. Actually, I think what is out there is actually less graphic. Sure one can argue that television blood and guts 'are not real'...and in some ways isn't that worse? Instead of showing how real violence can affect lives, they are recreating it for profit. I sleep ok.

Actually, I love how the news programs and networks are all so concerned about not offending their viewing public. They say how they won't show the 'bad' images of Saddam's execution. The application of the noose around his neck that they do show goes on WAY longer than him dropping through a trap door. It's like porn or cruising - the set-up is usually longer lasting and more memorable than the actual act.....ummm....I've heard.

Yeah, the two second shot they show of him afterwards with a snapped neck is a little odd, but not disturbing - and they showed that still shot at least on CNN and in newspapers. So the networks can spare me their moral superiority.

I don't know how much firestorm this video is actually causing for the current Iraq government. Yes, there is name calling and swearing - big deal! Welcome to my adolescence - sans the grainy video.
