HILLARY & BARCAK

So Clinton has announced that she's 'in to win'. Obama says he'll announce on Feb 10th......which kind of, just sort of means he has already announced - no?

More interesting is that both of them did this notification via their websites. I'm not quite sure what that's about. Does a web announcement have a more controlled atmosphere? I know there must be a strategy behind this methodology, but I don't know what.

I also thought Saturday was an odd release date, but then after I processed it, my next impression was how frickin' clever of her and her people - the story will probably be THE above fold headline on every front page of almost every Sunday paper....the most purchased edition of the week.

It's not like people don't know who she is, or that there hasn't been speculation about this candidacy for the last 3-4 years. But it is a warning shot.

The TV coverage amuses me. They have already said if she fumbles at all, Obama has the democratic nomination. Are they fucking serious? Are these talking heads so stupid to think they can call the outcome this early on? How they loved talking up Dr./Gov. Howard Dean - and were all too willing to help tear him down, dooming him and leaving us with Kerry!

I'm not sure what to feel about Obama or Clinton at this point. Time will tell.........I guess.
