My Music Monday

Oooh, look.  I have an appropriately imaged My Music Monday graphic.  I get to keep my regularly scheduled blog post while keeping with the theme of the day.

Score one for me.

The music is not Independence Day themed per se though.  No Sousa.  No Lee Greenwood.

No, today we have the Killers.  Dos Killers.  Two versions of the same song - the title track of their second album, Sam's Town.  One version for the more rocking folks.  One for the lower key guys who want to listen to the music but not THE MUSIC.

To somewhat stay with the 4th theme though, there is a line that goes "my brother, he was born on the Fourth of July, and that's all...."

I like the Killers.

First off, they do a decent job at making music.  Brandon Flowers is the gayest straight man alive, but it works.  And Ronnie Vannucci is one of the best drummers out there.

Their music is also really good to Spin and Lift to.   Especially "Sam's Town".

There is no official video for the song, so this is someone's home video for it.

This is the more, but not totally, unplugged version.  Performed at Abbey Road studios, it is more of a low-key event, but it shows the structure behind the song without all the sometimes bombastic music (though I do like that).

Happy 4th of July

Well choreographed. I like the contrast.
