Hair

No surprise here. I mean - not really.

Who were the other real choices besides Bayh? It wasn't ever going to be Clinton or Richardson. Not by a long shot.

I'm also non-plussed. I like Joe, but he's run two (or has it been three?) extremely unsuccessful presidential runs. I don't think he has ever made it out of Iowa. I'm not sure he ever made it into Iowa - not really.

As Andrew pointed out in a Twit earlier this morning - Biden carries a state that has 3 electoral votes. He fails to mention that Delaware was the first state. Their license plates say so, so it must be true. Being first has to hold some weight, no? Wait - no. I guess it doesn't.

However, he is Roman Catholic so, he could carry that group of swing voters, which is only slightly larger than his other special interest group: the Hair Club for Men.

I know it was early morning, but I liked PBS on-lines headline: Obama Taps Veteran Senator Joe Biden for Vice President

I don't know why I found it funny. When you hear 'tap' anymore, you I don't think 'select' or 'duck duck goose'.....you I think....well........you know.........TAP!!!!

I also found it humourous that CNN scooped Obama's big text messaging campaign. Don't get me wrong, I don't think for a minute that wasn't leaked to them on purpose, but I'm also not enough of a fool to give any campaign my cell number to text me with VP choices, which will turn into fund-raising requests and political ads that will run through the election cycle.

What seems like a good choice for him is a bad choice for me. R is right-- that damned McCain is gonna win.
