My Music Monday

I still have to select my "holiday" themed song for next Monday.

I'm not horribly worried, though I think I went through the good ones - and had a few of the bad just for shits and giggles.

Anyways - let's focus on the here and now.

Maybe not the 'now'. This song, "I Don't Want to Think About It" by the Wild Strawberries is well over a decade old and had totally fallen off my radar.

However, I was at a friend's house this weekend and it popped up into their playlist. Standing in their dining area and hearing it just took me back to the early aughts.

I have zero idea of the band is still around and if so, in what capacity or iteration. Sometimes you don't need to know.

Wild Strawberries are Canadian and Sarah McLachlan were label mates for a while - and McLachlan plays rhythm guitar on this song and appears in the video, if you have a keen enough eye - or even care.

"I Don't Want to Think About It", to me, has a Concrete Blonde vibe, but with out the harder bass or the darker vocals.

Glad I happened upon it again.
