And it was a while. But it was at my suggestion.
I do believe the move to the 216 was a good idea for her. And I think it has been. But since Q4 of last year, she has been looking at places of her own.
Two days ago, she moved out and into her own house, which is only like two miles away.
As with a lot of cities, the housing market here is turbulent. So many houses being sold before they are technically listed. It leaves buyers at a disadvantage most of the time. And many things going for above ask. Great for the seller; less so for the buyer.
Honestly, I'm glad the first few houses in which she was interested fell through. The one she got is adorable and the yard and 'hood are nice. It was the right house at the right time for the right person.
Personally, while it was my idea she come here and I love her, I'm glad she's gone. I think 710 is too.
It hasn't quite yet hit. I'd say 90% of her stuff is gone, so I know she'll be back to collect the rest. And it's only been like 18 hours as I write this, so things don't seem too different just yet.
710 is a g-dsend, of course. we let his sister live here for a long time, when I'm 99% sure I wouldn't let my own stay more than 48 hours. But now we have to get back to being a couple.
My husband has all these plans on what to do with our house now. I'm for it, but want to hold off. It's been a long time since it's just been us. While I don't think we are out of sorts in any regard really, I think acclimate as a twosome before we make any decisions on anything.
But due to all of this, there are changes for you guys as well.
She was with us when we got Simon. And as she was the one home with him 24/7, they are very bonded. So it was natural to all of us that Simon live with her.
This is fine. I liked Simon, but he and I never bonded at all. Simon and 710 did a bit, but not a lot. So we took him to his new home yesterday - where, as of this writing, he's still in hiding. That's to be expected.
I'm not sure if Shep will even have a reaction to Simon not being here. More to my SiL being gone than the cat, I'm sure. She was a sure thing for treats - so those are going to be in decline.
Rest assured, Simon will make appearances on Saturday. I'm 100% certain we will be getting a lot of weekly pictures of him at his new place. So, they will show up here.
We still might get a cat. It's one of those decisions we need to wait a few weeks on until we are centered.
This is the big update of the week. Possibly of the year.

I’m glad your SIL left, I wish Simon had stayed.
I had no idea. It will be nice to have the house to yourselves again.
It sounds like everyone is in a good place. Including Simon the beautiful.
