Wallace & Gromit's new movie, Vengeance Most Fowl uses that creepiness to full effect.
I wanted to vote for this for best animation for the last Oscar race, but I knew it wouldn't win.
While still expertly crafted and Gromit is the epitome of a very expressive pooch - for being claymation - the stories, in my opinion. work best as shorts. .....though Curse of the Were-Rabbit easily stands on its own.
So many of W&G storylines are similar: miscommunication; Wallace in trouble; Wallace not believing Gromit, etc.
And all of them - even the shorts - ending in a chase scene.
That said, the chase scenes are usually great and inventive. This is no exception. With this film, story and consequences there is a case to be made here for people who are pushing AI. They'll totally miss it, should they ever see it.
And if for nothing else, Fowl has the return of Feathers McGraw.
