I figured I'd pull the Lone Justice song "You Possess Me" from their recently archived - and my recently reviewed - disk Viva Lone Justice.
As I mentioned, this was a song that didn't make it to recording for lead singer Maria McKee's 1993 disk You Gotta Sin to Get Saved.
Three of the four band members appear on that disk, but not all together. Still that unused song was repurposed 31 years later with all members contributing their instruments individually - and alone.
The arrangement here is sparse but effective. McKee's voice is strong and clear.
Since that pasted together collaboration, one of the band members passed away, so a reunion seems unlikely - that and McKee thinks she's retired from music.
