My Music Monday

Still with the new music. There just seems to be a lot of it out there now. 

This time it's Djo. 

Yes. Joe - or a guy who had one to many study halls and lots of time to doodle in the margins of his Trapper Keeper. 

"Basic Being Basic" is off his upcoming third disk. Apparently he's an actor too, but I've never even seen four seconds of Stranger Things, so I'm 100% sure I've never seen him in anything.  

I suppose if he dances too, he'd be a triple threat. 

"Basic" is ok. I already know it's not making my top 5 songs of 2025. His talk-singing at the beginning reminds me of most every song from the group Cake. That isn't a criticism, just an observation. That said, it is probably the part that drew me into the song. 

Still, when he sing-sings, he has a hook with the chorus. It doesn't make me want to reach for the radio dial.
