Going Home

As you might imagine, we are a bit Simon heavy this week. I mean, he has a new home and all, and he will be making regular appearances here, but.......he was the star this week.

Simon's last known butler's pantry butt-on-counter scenario.

710 usually drops Shep at daycare, but I had to a few times this last week.
To assuage my guilt, we stopped at a park for a long walk before drop-off.

Loves living on the edge.

Pick-up. And I was greeted by neighbor dog, Harriet the Bassett.

What Shep lacks in tact, he makes up for in comfort.

Simon's last pic at our house. He knew shit was going down, but wasn't sure what it might be.
He was a little freaked out.

Shep made the daycare feed.
He looks HUGE here, and it looks like the entire pic is bad photoshop.

Simon's new home. This is where he hid for hours, and where he was hiding when I wrote my post a few days back.

Shortly after the draft was finished, Simon made an appearance upstairs and seems very much at home.

My sister in law gave him a tour of the house 2-3 times. He just followed her everywhere, so he's getting better. But he seems on the road to getting back to normal.

Never too much Simon, must be scary times for him.

Simon takes our hearts with him, wherever he is - as does Shep of course. (And as do all these other new 'faces'). But we do so dislike to see their little lives being disrupted even if the need for it is clear. Best wishes to the both of them.

Define normal for a cat?

Simon with new counters to explore. He will be just fine. It's good he is just a few blocks away. He can pop in on Saturdays. Shep is the king again at least for a little while. And Harriet the Bassett-those eyes.
