November Spawned a Monster

I honestly don't know where to begin. I'm fairly sure there will be no logical flow and just blabbering. And blubbering. 

Anger isn't here. Not yet.  

Right know it's grief. It's depression. We can skip right over denial. 

I get I'm fatalistic. Honestly, I thought it was for me, not for a nation at large. But where we are. I've been proven not wrong, but a newer dimension exists of which I never saw. 

Democracy is truly dead in the U.S. .  I don't see anyway around that. These are not the rantings of a lunatic. 

Clearly, I went to bed before the carnage really started. Deep down I must have known. My night of "sleep" was more one of hypogobnic hallucinations. Hundreds of them - if not more. These are occurrences I rarely remember, but this time I have memory banked a few. Like two, maybe three. One did not involve death. So........there's that. 

Upon waking, I wanted to look but I couldn't. I didn't really have a choice as either the Washington Post or the NYT messaged me the electoral count. 710 was out of bed, as I emerged, I held up my hand as to say, "not a word".  He complied. We sat in silence for a quite a while.

Ohio took it hard on the chin. Gerrymandering is now ok and on the books. Our one and only democratic senator got axed by a foreign born car dealer who is anti-abortion no matter what. 

One person today said to me, about getting them in 2028. 

WHAT. THE. FUCK. 

There is no 2028 !!!!!!

I have no doubt on January 21st (give or take), two SCOTUS justices will announce their retirement. They won't do it before, on the off chance the current Senate tries to rush things before Biden's out of office. That said - SCOTUS is toast for the next 35-40 years. Assuming there is even a true justice system left. 

I don't care they left reproductive rights to the states. I fully expect harsher laws at a Federal level. Forget ever ever ever getting equal pay. Women are fucked. 

Same sex marriage might be there too. BLOTUS might not care, but Shillbilly does, and the House does. And the GOP is owned by the conservative christians now more than ever. 

Hispanics?  Black people?  Fucked. I truly believe he law enforcement unions supported BLOTUS because they can continue to abuse people of colour without any retribution. 

Trans kids?   THEY ARE SUPER FUCKED. 

Kids - super fucked too. RFK fucking Jr. in charge of health?  Should it happen and he pushes to outlaw vaccines?  Hello polio.  Hello meningitis.  Hello measles, mumps and plagues. 

Education for those kids is off the table. They will dismantle the Department of Education. I want all teachers to quit. Just quit. See who will babysit these shitty-asssed parent's kids for 8 hours a day while they learn bible quotes and pack heat.

Federal Aid for the poor and disasters?  Fuck them too. 

But you know what no education and no money and lots of hunger does?  MILITARY enlistments.

The US armed forces have always been built on the back of the socio-economic disadvantaged. People with few advantages and options are almost forced into it. 

Who rules uneducated, disadvantaged forces to keep their citizens in line?  Yeah, you know who. BLOTUS has said he will wipe out his enemies. I don't think it's too far fetched to think this exactly what he'd do with the troops given any open door. Why should we not believe him?

Let's see if the head of each branch don't rebel. They might but they'll displaced or executed. Yes - it's a Germany 1932 - 1945 analogy, except it's probably very very real. At first, I even thought I sounded like a conspiracy theorist when I thought it, but why wouldn't he do this. 

Fuck, he even said he'd revoke ABC's broadcast license after his terrible debate. I could see that happening too. 

Oh yes - this is no longer America. 

(ok, some anger has crept in here.)

The ACA:  gone.  Replaced with absolutely nothing. 

January 6th felons win.The chances of them not getting a pardon are 0-1%. 

Here's where my bigger dick side comes in:  Good!

Let all this Project 2025 come to fruition. Let these assholes who voted for this find out that yes, it's directed at them as well. Not just whom they think are the "enemies" of the party. 

But from what I can tell, even these living turds who initially supported will spin it to make BLOUTS & Co look good, even at their own demise. g-d fucking forbid someone say, "I was wrong".  That is no longer anywhere in the GOP playbook. 

So yes. We. Are. Fucked. 

Ellen commented here yesterday: "we are disgusting country."  Honestly, I think she was being nice. 

My friend DJ Bob, who is different than Chef Bob or Runner Bob, wondered to me if BLOTUS thinks he can dismantle democracy in only four years. I don't think it's going to take that long. 

As of today, in my mind, I'm considering January 19, 2025 to be my last blog day - tentatively. Like I said, I might change my mind.

I get I'm making decisions out of anger (there it is again) and frustration and desperation. I'm just at a loss at this point. I literally (not figuratively) heard BLOTUS speak for less than two seconds yesterday and I couldn't click off of it fast enough. I heard him say 'the best' and shuddered. 

I can't listen to him and blog about him until I'm dead. Which might come sooner, thanks to this administration. I was going to say "until 2028", but I have zero confidence there will be another election. If there is, it will be just as rigged as Russia's. BLOTUS has already told groups this was the last time they have to vote. Why should we doubt that he's going to dismantle the election system?

....and remember, SCOTUS gave him immunity, so...............fucked x 100,203,018,339.

This is here to stay.  I just don't know if I will be. 

....and to end this lovely day, I cut off a chunk of a finger while prepping dinner.

It hurt like a motherfucker, but it was the first time all day I felt something. 

Actually the end of the day is going to be pie. Pies. I bought two. I'm going to eat my feelings. So, I should have purchased more than two, I guess.
