Love her or hate her (ok....I'm kidding on the former!) you have to love the story lead-in.

LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Concerned about politicizing her favorite charity, singer-actress Jessica Simpson Wednesday turned down a invitation to meet with President Bush, a snub that left Republicans dismayed.
This girl has been pretty much a media whore (Jessica, not George........well....ok...George too), so you kind of have to applaud that she turned down a White House invitation on so many levels.
I'm sure the Swift Boat ads against her music (if that's what one calls it) are in production as we speak.
