ST. PATRICK'S DAY - Who Cares????

This is where I'd normally put a link or quote from Kent Brockman on his commentary on SPD. But I'm fairly sure that most folks I know are tired of me doing it year-in/year-out.

The above is something Kris L-S-R-H sent my way the other day. It's as close as to anything Irish that you'll see here. (You can visit all the related products just where you think you might: sweetjesusihatebilloreilly.)

Being part Irish I can say this: St. Patrick's Day, to me, less of a holiday Arbor Day. Parades to me are one step away from circuses. And Blobby hates a circus.

Sure it gives anyone who thinks they might be Irish (or who maybe once saw an Irish person) the opportunity to drink green beer, get drunk and puke. But who needs a special day for that? We call that our teens and 20s. Possibly early 30s. (full disclosure: I think I have only puked once twice from drinking. I'm good at holding my liquor.)
