Yes, I get it - Star Wars and Lord of the Rings references aside, think about it....should they succeed all you need is a shady ethics panel - or just not tell anyone you're doing it - and one could build an army of never ending people from laboratory grown eggs.
I even realize I sound absurd, but really, what is stopping someone when / if this technology pans out?
