Today's selection, "These Arms" popped up this last Friday for me. It sounded like a good collaboration: Snow Patrol and Kylie Kylie Minogue.
I cannot say it was a pairing I would have thought of or saw coming, but now it's out there in the universe - and it is not bad.
So much of Kylie's stuff is a bit too breathy for me. I know she can sing, because now and then I hear it. She does well here.
The reality of this is, Minogue should probably have top billing here. Yeah, you hear Snow Patrol, and I'm guessing it is there song by way of writing, but she has the dominant vocal here. Dominant might be the incorrect word. Her vocal stands out more and Snow Patrol seem to be backing her.
