Mama Said Knock You Out

Dogs and kittens. It's what Saturdays are about........

Picking up Shep 1:  BOING.
Ears flying as he leaps up, when we get him from our vacation.

Picking up Shep 2: EXCITEMENT

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.

Tale of Two Dogs: Bailey pick-up after my sister's vacation.

The kittens have been fixed.

Shep was completely knocked out after an hour long hike with some of my cousins and their dogs.

In all of my years of hanging out in stalls, never was I as lucky as 710 at work.
I mean, I know you shouldn't really be talking in there, but how could you not??

He was a service dog for an "occupied" co-worker.

Outside the Rain

A slight hodge podge. We are traveling so I'm splicing this together.

Shep meets Ralphie.
Everyone behaved appropriately. Ralphie was cute and fun.

Bailey's 6th 'gotcha' day.

Virginia (top) and Henry (floor).
Loving how they explore.

Shep on the daycare IG feed.

Bailey licking her chops for the gotcha day treat.

Chillaxing on the car drive home from a weekend day out and about.

Higher Ground

Ok, this time I got a number of unsolicited cat and kitten photos.  ......and it got weird. But you'll see. Three-fifths of the cats got 'the memo'.  The others didn't, or opted to ignore.

Still........felines.  And canines.

I wasn't sure which kitten this was. I had to be told it was both of them.
Just keep looking.

Happy Dog.
Took a shot for 710 to let him know I picked up the dog from daycare and we were on a walk.

Bailey by the glow of the aquarium.

For whatever reason, Shep insisted on taking one of his ducks outside.
In almost 9 years, he has never taken a toy outside..

For two cats that never used to be near each other, Pippa and Willow seem to be changing their tune.

Simon made it another level higher. At least my SiL doesn't have to dust up there.

Now both of them are up there!

His nonverbal response to "dinner?"

On Top

Yes yes - it's Saturday. Dog and cats. Or kittens.

It's been hot again. Now and then he needs to air out his privates.

Arthur!  I get to see him at the gym 1-2 x / week.
I get jumps and licks.

Simon!
A rare sighting anymore. Apparently, he likes sleeping on top of the kitchen cabinets.

Pop Up Shep.
Another ride home from a run where I happen upon Shep and his walker. He jumped up to see me!

Kitts chillaxing as my nephew works from home.
It doesn't look like they stray far from each other. Ever. All of them.

Arthur again.  More licks. He is so adorable.

Oh, the manipulation.
Cuteness to hurry along the process to a car ride on a weekend day.

Elenore

We have kittens today. For a number of you, that's all you really want to know. There are dogs too, btw.

I do so love that these two remain bonded.
Though I don't think they'll both fit in that space together much longer.

Poor Shep. He doesn't even get the upper bunk.
But on these scorcher of days, he does like the cold floors.

Olive. My would-be girlfriend.

I'm still unclear which kitten is which. This "seems" like a guy thing.

On my way home from my evening run, I happened up on 710 walking Shep in a park.
Someone was VERY excited to see me.  .....and it wasn't 710.

The stop confused the poor boy because they continued their walk and not with me.

Again - no idea who this is. Or which one, I guess.

Bailey got a new toy. No update on how long it lasted.

OMG. Clearly they feel comfortable with my nephew.

Ellie.  She would not move on her walk until Shep came over to say 'hi'.

Watching TV

It's mostly about kittens today - and why not???

Yes, there are dogs present, but a lot about my nephew's kitties.

It's been so hot and even with air conditioning Shep is smart enough to lay on the marble hearth just to stay cool.

Bailey got a new toy for her bday. She can be long when she wants.

OMG they're adorable.

Shep helping 710 with the power washing of our patio.
Man does it get disgusting over the winter.

Apparently Dr. Henry Kissnpurr (yes, you read that correctly) likes watching Andor
From other people's accounts, he might be one of the few.

The prerequisite shot of Shep in a creek.
We've had to go to heavily wooded trails to hike. He can't be on asphalt when it's this hot, so we head to the woods, and there is usually water in which to frolic.

I do love the bonding.

I'm not 100% sure which kitten this is.

Animals

I think we have enough variety to please most folks today. Cats. Dogs. Kittens.  What more do you people want??

Hot hikes deserve cool-downs in nearby creeks.

Bailey - the backseat driver in her throne.  Man - those ears!

Virginia and Henry are settling in.
Honestly, I don't know which is which yet.

SIMON!!!!

The prodigal returns. I thought he learned a new skill. But my SIL opened a cabinet to do something and he just decided to jump in.

Shep: Background Dog.  ....but he is 'adorbs'.

Spa day for HRH.

Together but separate. They seem comfortable with my nephew.

....and clearly they're bonded. Which i just love.
