I Think I'm Paranoid

During my last psychiatrist visit, earlier this week, I started the session by asking my shrink, "do paranoid people know they're paranoid?" 

I thought it a reasonable question like in the Sixth Sense that dead people don't know they're dead. Or in reality, it you have a mental illness, are you aware enough to know you do? 

The questions semi-stems from a post a while ago here when I was ranting and railing about the government and I called myself 'paranoid or an alarmist'.  What I actually said was that my readers probably think I am..........which got me thinking. 

Well, which got me overthinking. 

Which is a problem for me. A big one. 

Anyway, the answer wasn't that clear cut, but some do, some don't. I'm sure there are moments of lucidity where they recognize behaviour, but if they put two and two together, who knows. 

I was told I did not have any psychosis. Or he didn't see that in me. So......maybe? 

His conclusion was that I was spiraling, which is accurate (see: overthinking). My problem (well, one of them) was he didn't give me any coping mechanisms to avoid that or get out of it in a more real time scenario. 

I bring this all up because I'm back at square one today (well, yesterday, but I can guarantee you it will continue today).

The post where I deemed you deeming me 'paranoid' was one of ICE getting $750 BILLION dollars and me calling them the SS - and truly believing this is where we are. 

I'm thinking I'm less paranoid and back the fatalist that I've always called myself. As it turns out, I might be afraid of fatality.

I did roll my eyes at Dean Cain becoming an "honorary' ICE agent.  FFS - there is no way he's getting Lois & Clark residuals. And doubtful he could get off his shift at Long John Silvers to actually be an ICE agent. But 'honorary' can't pay anything. 

I do gotta say, the menu item on the left bar in Spanish is just fucking hilarious to me. Though I applaud anyone in the Hispanic community going to this site to read what is going to happen to them. 

Honestly, I think it was better when I thought you thought I was paranoid.

To be honest, I have been exhausted even thinking about writing this post. The impetus for it has literally kept me awake for the last 2-3 nights. I even had an anxiety attack contemplating the reason behind why I had to write about it. 

Yeah - you all know the bill / budget that passed both sides of Congress last week - by the skins of their teeth - cuts a lot of services and adds almost $4,000,000,000,000 (that's trillion) to the deficit. All of it problematic, of course. 

But an original plan in an earlier version of that bill was something like $4 billion for ICE, yet the amount expanded to $175 Billion. 

Let that sink in. 

That's right - almost 44x more. 

We are a country of ~330 million folks. That equates to ~$530,300 per resident. 

Yes, I'm stating it that way. If it were truly about just undocumented people in the country, the cost per person would skyrocket. 

This is not what this is about. 

This about keeping citizens in line. This is about controlling the population. This is about Germany 1936-1945. For what else would they need that kind of funding?  No seriously, I'll wait for responses in the comments.

ICE. A government "law enforcement" agency. 

Unnamed. Masked. No warrants. No charges. No due process. No accountability. Little to no information given on 'prisoners' or locations / destinations. Answering to seemingly no one. Expanding at incredible speed.  

If that isn't the SS, I don't know what the fuck is. 

They have clearly detained and taken legitimate citizens already. No recourse. None. How is this acceptable to anyone other than BLOTUS, Stephen Miller, and Kristi Noam? 

To be even clearer - out of BLOTUS' mouth:  says his administration is actively exploring a proposal to detain U.S. citizens and send them to prisons in El Salvador. 

"The homegrowns are next, the homegrowns. You've got to build about five more places,"  BLOTUS said to El Salvadoran president Nayib Bukele, an apparent reference to prison space that would be needed in El Salvador to house U.S. citizens. 

I honestly don't know how one could be much clearer on plans and intent. And now with the additional funding? 

You are a homegrown. So is your family. I'd say prove me wrong, but they're not looking for proof or facts. Good luck with that. 

You have to believe he's learned not to make the same mistake as Germany and keep detailed records of people who are imprisoned and / or eventually executed. They have literally taken away all the barriers to all of this. 

This literally keeps me up at night. All night. For nights in a row. 

There is and will be no one to help us. There will be no one to liberate any camps. No one is big enough who will care. China? Russia?  Please.  We. Are. Fucked. 

.....and btw.....the Medicaid cuts are scheduled to hit after mid-terms. This way, GOPers up for reelection won't be on the hook for this disaster, and if they are replaced with dems, those dems will take the fall for something they had nothing to do with. 

GOP might be evil, but they're smart about it.

I Remember

Yesterday was Holocaust Remembrance Day. 

There are two, actually. The one in May corresponds to the 27th day of Nisan on the Hebrew calendar and it marks the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.  The one yesterday, aligns with the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp by the Red Army in 1945. 

Honestly, if BLOTUS knew the Russians did something good for the Jews, he might not align with them as much. 

Short of klezmer music, there wasn't a great way to incorporate the date into My Music Monday. 

Even for a day late, and only a week into this administration, there is no shortage of material from which to draw on how we even got to needing designated days to remember the Holocaust. 

Yet........here we are. 

You might remember President Musk's pseudo-non-apology tour 18 months ago, after making antisemitic comments, which he claims he didn't do............but he truly did. And continues to do. 

This popped up on IG the other day, and yes, I screen captured it for today.  Sorry that enbiggening it makes it a little blurry.  

I don't know who blotted out 'death' in some fucked up censoring bullshit. Do they think that is the offensive part of the post? 

Anyway - this is how Germany got there back in the 1930s.  Not caring.  At all. 

One can claim "they" didn't want to be the Jews, the gays, the disabled, the Gypsies who were murdered and they were saving their own skin - literally. But it goes deeper than that. 

And this is how Holocaust II happens. Is happening. 

Mass deportations. Voting rights most likely stripped away. Media control. Stopping research for cancer and HIV. No passports for trans people currently.  

The wheels are in motion.   ......and so many people don't care.  Just like Musk. 

I fucking HATE to say it, but two people could speak up and call them out - but their lives would be spared anyway more so if they didn't:  Ivanka and Jared. 

How self-loathing of Jews can they be to watch their father and friends be ok with all of this?

the End is Near

It only took Adolph Hitler 54 days to dismantle German democracy. It took him 45 days to open Dachau. 

It is looking like BLOTUS & Co will take less than 54 days to dismantle U.S. democracy. I'm mortified at it all and yet kind of internally laughing at any and every female and any and every Black or Hispanic persons who voted for BLOTUS. 

He put it all out there for all of you to see, all in advance...........and you didn't give a fuck.  So pardon me if I don't give a fuck about you. 

Compared to the U.S., Germany is quite small. So, breaking that 54 days is no small feat. 

This is about the only time we should be happy our rail system sucks.
