My Music Monday

I see no shortage in new music. In a way I'd like a theme month, but not sure when / if that is ever happening anytime soon.

The Editors have a new song out. I don't think I've featured them in years. I had to look. 2012. I still adore "Papillon" but I play it sparingly - as the record version is 2+ minutes longer than the hyperlinked video. Though with all the running in the video it seems to suit me more now in a different aspect.

Still - 14 years later, here I am, talking about the band.

"Call it In" is the new tune.

It's a fairly straight forward male rock song. It's a driving beat and has nothing new or special about it, but I like it a lot. Granted, I do listen to songs differently should I be able to run to them - and with this, I can.

The drum beat, the guitars and keyboards really don't change much over the song. Repeating music themes more than repeating lyrical ones. Still, it works.
