Most of 2026 MMMs have been new music. It doesn't look like March will be any different.
The Bleachers have a new song out - as of about two weeks ago (I'm backlogged on music posts).
The band is good. The band is live in this selection. It's in the studio, but they're playing / recording live (allegedly).
Jack Antonoff heads the band - and it is a band, not just him - but in reality it's kind of his side gig. He has made his millions writing and producing a lot of Taylor Swift albums, some Florence + the Machine, Kendrick Lamar, the Chicks, P!nk,.....the list goes on.
The Bleachers are more rock oriented than the pop stuff he normally produces (well.....not Lamar). And "You and Forever" actually is reminecent of the song "Thunder Clatter" by Wild Cub that I posted almost 13 years back. That both videos are of the band playing the song(s) live might influence me on that similarity.
I like the writing, structure and production of the song, though there is a period in the last third where the vocals are just aren't that coherent. I'm a lyrics-centered guy when it comes to music, so I'm never thrilled when I HAVE to decipher too too much.
Still, it's a more than decent song.
