Needs = Wants. Want ≠ Need.
I've grown accustomed to ordering my glasses on-line as opposed to the store I had been going to for decades. I like their glasses, but I've grown tired of their pushiness. They are usually spot on in their suggestions, but it comes at a literal and figurative price.
That said, I haven't had tons of luck with on-line endeavours when it comes to eyewear. I haven't lost lots of sleep over my incorrect purchases because 5-6 pair would equal 1 in the brick and mortar world. I won't go as far as to say what I have purchased are disposable, but there are pairs I have barely ever worn, as they just don't look good on me or feel good. They all seemed cool at the time.
I think I have two working pair from my on-line of five. And those are all two prescriptions ago. And I have 2-3 from multiple scripts ago that came from the actual store.
Glasses now are tricky. They actually have to stay one while I run. Firmly. But not so firm that they hurt my head. That's tough to navigate from my laptop.
Tougher to navigate? These g-d awful websites.
You do one search and then the 1.089 on-line companies are invading your feed. Of course, I don't remember the site / store names, so it's impossible to remember if I've already perused them. And even when I do, it's a fucking scroll-fest to find a pair you think you might like.
One can click 'male' frames all you want. I'm 99% sure you still get female frames in there. Or they think every guy buying is Charles Nelson Reilly.
What I'm trying to do - unsuccessfully - is take the specs (no pun intended) of a decent on-line purchase and try to match them to my would-be new pair(s). This isn't easy, as I think what I do have are too large for my face, so I look for smaller frames, and they look like it on screen, but not when I delve deeper.
So for the 3,892 pairs I've looked at over the last week, right now I think I've found two possible choices.
That said, I'm overwhelmed with the scrolling and the looking and the clicking. There is a 93% chance that will wear me down to where I buy nothing at all.
The above pair is one of the two contenders. The second one is below.....but I already have green frames. Though these speak to me.

I think the top pair look like two used condoms.
I like the green. I have had a good experience with Warby Parker, they have two retail stores in the Cleveland area. I have always gone into the store to try things on.
Me - I'm not a WP fan. I've tried on dozens of their frames and nothing looks good. And after you put in my script, the price is as high as the fancy store I already use.
Buy both of them.
