Well to be clear, my lack of participation in the live broadcast banter was not for lack of enthusiasm or desire. It was just because I got home late, after a dinner out with friends, which included two glasses of wine. And i'd been up since 4am. So blah blah blah...

Anyway, I did win, right? (ouch) It was a great battle....and i have to admit that when Mr. Blobby sent me a text that he was "crushing it"just a half hour into the broadcast, I pretty much abandoned hope. Guess God hates ugly, because the next thing I knew, I received another text "...and you pull ahead". What? Huh? How? Who? When?

I did fall asleep mid-Emmys - but awoke to the surprising news of my victory, my coup, my triumph...
And while we hadn't discussed what the winner would receive, I'm willing to let it roll forward -- and play the old double or nothing game for the Golden Globes come this winter.

So I want to say THANK YOU to all of the people who made my win possible: Jeff Daniels, Henry Winkler, Darren Criss, and the folks over at RuPaul's Drag Race. I love you all (and Jesus too). And to Blobby, who like that Everready Bunny, keeps on ticking and coming back for more.
Mike

I Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
