It's been making the FB rounds and I did this quiz over a week ago, but had my late December posts all planned out. This is the quickest you could get it.
According to the NYT, the questions are based on the Harvard Dialect Study. You know: do you say 'sub' vs hoagie' vs 'grinder'.
I heard that some participants got asked the 'soda' or 'pop', and / or thge 'Halloween' vs 'devil's night' questions. I got asked neither of these questions.
I don't know if they change some of the questions based on previous questions and how you answered them or not. Each question has a map of where you fall into the 'norm' but I didn't pay much attention to those.
I got asked 25 questions. And as you can see from the title image, they pinpointed me to being from Toledo, Akron or, you guessed it, Cleveland. For full disclosure, I did reside near Toledo from ages 2-5. And I went to high school near Akron.
So how are them apples?

for the record, my answers are "youse", "hoagie", "devil's night", and "soda".
That's just creepy. It had Orlando as one of my 3 cities. And that's where I grew up and lived for 18 years.
Mine came out a combination of Northern NJ and Southern California. Amazingly accurate!
